Up for bid is a very nice 40's or 50's McCoy Seaman's Bank. He displays beautifully. The bank is in excellant condition with no chips or cracks. Enamel is missing on parts of both feet. I do not think these are chips. Maybe scuffs. They could be production defects typical of these pieces. The finish/enamel is particularly shiny with minimal crazing. I would say the finish is"perfectly imperfect" He has been with me for 20 years or so and was one of my first McCoy"finds" He is a nice addition to any McCoy. WWII or promotional collection. Beautiful Gretsch snare drum. 14" x 5" chrome over brass. Think it's early 70's, but there is a photo of the serial no. so perhaps possible to clarify that. Sad to have to sell the best sounding snare drum I have used. Even still has the drum key which sits in it's own mount in the shell. Great condition and working perfectly. Superior second generation design Offered here is a yellow brass Descant French Horn made by Paxman of London. England. This horn is a Model 41X full double descant horn pitched in Bb and High F, with a second thumb valve that controls an A/E stopping/transposition valve. The horn also comes with a low F extension slide that fits into the Bb stopping valve slide, as well as an extra nickel silver bell flare. This is a one-owner horn, ordered in 1974(Serial number from Nov. 1974) and picked up from Paxman’s then-sole American horn agent, Tony Miranda in Feb. 1975. This is a“second generation” Paxman descant. A design which many players consider superior to the more recent“third generation” design.
