The viewer is made of a nice brown wood for the eyepiece. The eye piece has nice large head brass nails or tacks holding it together from the top and two screws holding it from the bottom. It is equipped with two glass lenses and a wooded rail on which the card holder goes back and forth to adjust the view. The eyepiece also has a felt like material at the edge where it would rest on your face.
