This one would be like a B229SE) that was running fine on an in-ground pool but was screaming due to the bearings had failed. I just replaced the old bearings with 2 new bearings and I fired it up and it runs fine and quiet, sounds like a new motor now. As for replacing the bearings on your own, don't bother with it, you have to have specialized tools to do it and the online videos don't show all of what you have to do to finish the job. So buy from me, I have done all the work for you already and have reduced to price as to not break your pocketbook! This motor will fit any Hayward. Jandy or Pentair pump needing a C Frame replacement motor. C Frame just means it's shaped like a circle ... moreon the front of the motor instead of a square flange type motor. Here is a good running dual shaft 5hp Tecumseh engine which was just used in the snow we had here in Pa yesterday(2/17/15)I had fixed up a snow blower and was testing it.I found that the auger gear box was bad so I decided to pull the engine and sell it separately rather than fixing the blower.The blower it came from was a Craftsman 536.918200/2 stage.The engine numbers are 143-696082/serial 92640.This engine is a cable-controlled throttle style.The shaft sizes are 2 1/4x3/4' keyed main shaft and a 1/2' diameter by 3/4' long cam shaft.I had installed a new starter rope.Put a carb kit on it(which did not include the little o-rings that go on the adjustment needles)changed the oil(which I will have to drain for shipment)replaced the primer with the newer style(the primer was the old style which was on top of the heater box-I drilled ... morea hole and relocated it on the choke side because the newer style primer has a hole in it and I didn't want snow/water sitting on top and and getting in the engine through the primer)The carburetor isn't perfect on the engine as sometimes the low idle isn't perfect but all in all it ran good and steady/ strong during normal operating rpm's with no smoke other than the normal puff at start up.The front cover has a small dent in it.This engine has provisions to add electric starting if desired but really isn't needed as it starts right up without hassle.The box size is going to be about 17z20x17 and weigh about 38lbs once safely packed.I will have to drain the oil before shipping and possibly remove the fuel tank.Thanks for looking!
