I used this unit a couple times years ago with other guys in my group that had the same units so that we could speak to each other when riding. They worked great. But we never rode together that much and then I sold my bike. It broadcast's on channel E and if another person has a unit on that channel, you can also speak to them within a 1/2 mile or so. It has been in the original box in the basement since then. I tested it today the unit picks up FM radio stations and broadcast to both the head sets. The intercom works good as well. You can set it for voice activation(VOX) so that when you speak the other person can hear you, or you can use the push to talk button.

Up for auction. We have a Maxon model 27KC portable CB radio. It is a 40 channel portable radio, and comes with the original microphone and vehicle charging cradle. Controls on top of the unit are on/off/volume, hi/low power, channel up/down and squelch. The unit locks into the original vehicle docking station, which has a power plug for the cigarette lighter and the original microphone. I have plugged the unit in, and it powers up and appears to funtion properly. There are no cosmetic issues with the unit. I am selling it as a used unit, because I have no history on it.
