The Atwater Kent Variometer/tuner is in very good overall condition but has been trimmed slightly on its left side edge probably to narrow its width. This can be repaired with a little polymer and paint and made to look like new. The capacitor is also in very good condition. Also included: 2 radio dials(one has a hair line crack where it has been repaired and hardly noticeable) 3 RF radio transformers(none of the windings are open) 3 four pin Bakelite tube sockets; one grid leak and one five binding post connecting strip. ANTIQUE 1920'S ONE TUBE RADIO WALBERT UNIVERNIER WOOD CASE
1920's One Tube Radio I really know nothing about antique radios. I have bought and sold interestin Bakelite radios from the 1930's and 40's. But this is a much earlier one. I think it may have been a" kit" radio sold by Walbert, probably from an ad in early radio periodicals. It is a nice case with a sheet of greenish brown bakelite or Catalin on the front. The large dial in the front says UNIVERNIER on the front and Walbert on the metal disc beneath the dial. Can't say much other than that, my pictures can describe it better than I can. There is a detached condenser with attached wires, again, as photographed. HEIGHT 8 inches( 20.3 cm) WIDTH 13 3/4 inches( 35 cm) This fine antique is offered with no reserve. EARLY EVEREADY MODEL 2 RECEIVER RADIO & SPEAKER
Up for bid is a great Eveready Model 2 Receiver w/ Loudspeaker. Overall the speaker is in good condition. It has exterior wear and general scratching on the top and sides, the grille cloth on the front is torn and the casting pieces are broken, the rear of the speaker has moderate scratching and two small tears on the grille, and the cord looks to be in good condition. The radio is also in very good condition. It has general light exterior wear and scratches and a couple larger scratches on the top. The interior is clean and looks to be complete with all of the tubes and other pieces. The case is metal and is not chipped or cracked. The cord is damaged and should probably be replaced. I would estimate that this is an early 1920's radio designed for the European radio enthusiast with European tube socket tube mounts. Like so many companies of it time, many of these early startup businesses were only in business for a short period of time, therefore few were made and even fewer are survived. There is little else I can tell you about the radio since the radio has no labels, etched markings on the Bakelite plate, no documentation, or instructions other than it is very, very old and unique. Atwater Kent Radio Model 44F & E-Type Speaker - Not Tested - Very Rare
Here is a very rare Antique 1928 Atwater Kent Radio Model#44F& Type E Speaker. They look in good shape. The speaker is not intact and has a couple of pokes in it. This item has not been tested. It comes as is. It needs a two pronged electric plug on the end of the power line. It broke off in my hands when I was trying to straighten the prongs. The speaker has the terminal ends that plug right into the back of the tube radio though. It is a very heavy item weighing in at about 40 lbs. The speaker weighs 11 lbs. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Made in the U.S.A. by Atwater Kent in 1928.

Rare 1920's Peerless Speaker in Wood Cathedral Case for Tube Radio-Works
This item is being relisted because Ebay member tarantababuradio(2) is a non paying bidder. Sellers beware of him. This speaker made static noises when I touched the 2 terminals with a battery so I'll assume it works. The speaker looks as good as the day it was put in this case, but the case needs restoration. The sides are missing veneer but thats an easy enough repair. Both grilles are damaged. The rear grille should also be an easy fix because the pattern is complete, but the front grille will require a template, tracing or a pic that you can copy the pattern from.
