This is a Vintage Echophone Commercial Shortwave Tube Receiver Radio that was made in the U.S.A. c.1940's. It has a built in speaker and comes with its original antenna wire. As you can see in the photos. All dials, knobs, switches, and the two indicators work smoothly and freely. The lens is unbroken and intact. I plugged it in and and dialed around without an antenna. I got theremin-like sounds. Which indicates that the speaker& the unit work, at least to some extent, but I am not knowledgeable enough to test it thoroughly. There is a sticker present on the inside, but I could not get to it without taking the unit apart. Here's your chance to own an authentic piece of Shortwave history! This is what eBay's all about! Yaesu FTH-2070 Dual band commercial / ham radio package.
Selling a bunch of radios and this package is one of them. Two FTH-2070 Yaesu radios. These are the only commercial dual band radios that were made a few years ago. They were viciously expensive when new and PD's were buying them. Nice because they did vhf and uhf in the same radio. Both radios work great. A few batteries included. Already loaded with Reno NV frequencies for ham and some MURS etc. One charger does not want to charge after a green light goes out. I suspect fuse of some sort) One battery did not take a charge but is included for re celling purposes.The radio in the leather pouch works great but sometimes you have to bump it with your hand around the antenna and the speaker starts to work again. These are older radios and are fluky like that. Nice little package and fun to use. Antennas are held together with shrink tube ... moreas they are aged too with some cracks and repairs. Icom IC-F2821 UHF HAM Commercial radio
I have an ICOM IC-F2821 radio for sale. I have used this in the ham band for a couple of years. I would give the radio a 10 on performance and a 8.5 on appearance. There are a couple of scratches near the mounting lug locations. Included items are: Radio User manual Some new button stickers Programming cable Microphone External speaker I do not have the mounting bracket or the power cable after the"T" adapter.
