Still registers very well and handles sheets up to 10 x 15" Machine currently under power and can be seen running. There are boxes of parts and a copy of the original operator manual. Also includes many rolls of foil. Everything needed to start numbering, die cutting(except dies) foil stamping. This weighs approximately 3000 lbs. and is serial number 44363, black ball. Heidelberg Windmill 10x15- Great for parts or repair
This is a truly heartbreaking story: I bought a beautiful 10x15 Heidelberg Windmill off eBay a few months ago and it was picked up by Estes-Express transit company. Estes damaged the press en route from Indiana to my home in Georgia. The press was dropped when it was unloaded at the destination terminal and there is a piece of the machine which is broken. The press is in great condition otherwise; however. It will need a lot of work to get it to run properly. This press needs some work before it will operate. I have attached pictures of what the press looked like when it was on eBay as well as pictures of the transit process- there’s no way for me to know if anything else is damaged beyond the obvious broken pieces of cast iron. This Heidelberg is wired for a standard 110V outlet so it can be used in your garage, shop, etc. After speaking ... morewith a few specialist in my area, it’s been pretty clear that I would end up spending more than I can at this moment on repairing it. This press is great for parts and could be used again, if the right repairman worked on it. The Original Heidelberg"Windmill" Letter Press- 10 x 15 You are buying a 1960’s? era Original Heidelberg 10 x 15” platen press. Serial number 36930 E. This machine is in operational order and has most recently been used for die-cutting, perforating. And crash numbering on carbonless forms. Most ink rollers are missing and would need to be sourced if you intend to use it for actual letterpress printing. The main cylinder is inked up directly for crash numbering in its present use. The press has been around a while and shows obvious wear and imperfections. But has been lubricated and maintained throughout the years. The central oiling system is functioning. Recent repairs include. Newly recovered form rollers(approx. 100+ hours of use) for numbering, and pile height gear replaced. Some hoses appear to be original while others have ... morebeen recently replaced. This is one of the most popular and recognizable old style letter presses. And is still widely used for die cutting(door hangers, POS packaging etc) foil stamping, perforating, and numbering(NCR forms, raffle tickets, etc) Made famous by Will Smith in Seven Pounds. The name is still synonymous with quality in the printing industry.
