YOU supply the cradle. ... moreI modify it and ship it back to you. After this modification has been performed, the cradle will no longer be a charger. So, you'll need to have another cradle available to you for charging. The programming cradle is guaranteed to work with Windows XP and Windows 7 ONLY. I do not have Windows 8. And while I expect it could be made to work with Windows 8 I know it won't be simple. If you want to try that. It's your issue not mine. And I can't help you. If you pay me to modify your charger, and then find you can't get it to work on Windows 8, that will not be my issue. The USB interface cable on my version lets you avoid having to find a serial port on a PC. Which is becoming rare on newer PCs. The programmer is powered by the USB interface. And the pager is powered by its own battery, so there is no need for a power transformer. I built this from your used charging stand. Note that this is now solely a programmer. And cannot be used as a charger. It also cannot be used to change the firmware in a pager. The Minitor pagers are very sensitive receivers. And can be used for other purposes besides paging, assuming you can program it yourself and don't have to pay someone $15 every time you want it re-programmed. This programming cradle works with the standard Motorola Minitor III/IV programming PC software. I am NOT providing this software. And Motorola does not offer it for free like they do for the Minitor V programming software. That said, my customers seem to be able to find it online. Again, I am not providing this software nor can I provide a link to where you might find it. Note: the modified cradle is no longer a standard Motorola product. So.
