Almost all Original Parts(see below) Has never been refurbished. Still works great. Has been used within the last year. Some of the moving parts may require lubricating between uses. This slicer is equipped with a Hobart Stay Sharp Stainless Steel Knife(photo#13) Sharpening instructions are included. Slicer is in very nice used vintage condition. There is a bit of oxidation on the metal in some areas. The under carriage(see photo) has some oil build up from over the years. Could use a good cleaning. Degreasing and re-oiling. There is not a lot of information out there on this slicer. It was manufactured in 1938 or'39. They are hard to find. However there are still websites ... morethat sell old Hobart slicer parts. Rare antique Hobart Commercial Meat Cheese Slicer Model 311 Countertop Works
Super rare Hobart model 311 meat and chesse slicer. These were made in the 1920's and early 30's. They stopped making the manual in 1938. It is missing the upper hand shield and the original switch is broke but works 2hen plugged in. All knobs are present and works greqt. The slide is very smooth and operates like new. There is also a small chip in the blade. For it's age it is a wonderful machine and very rare to find in this condition. Due to the weight of 102 pounds I cannot ship. Local pickup only.

It weighs 98 lbs and measures 28" x 24" x 24" I bought this at auction and do not know its history. It runs quietly and everything operates smoothly. You can see the operation light glowing in picture 2. It does not come with the sharpener. The blade has a nick in it(see picture 11) I sliced an orange through it to test it out and it chopped that up without effort. I removed the bottom inspection plate to make sure I wasn't selling a gunked up unit and it is shockingly clean(see picture 7) The Goodyear belt and motor look almost new. This is a Hobart 2612 Heavy Duty 12" Deli Slicer. These are commonly used in delis and food establishments for on-the-spot slicing of meats. Cheeses and other foods. Unit is in good condition with typical wear and tear from a used unit. I replaced both knife-shaft bearings and cleaned the indexer. Everything is operating smoothly and I will also include Hobart-grade lubricant so you can keep the carriage and meat grip moving freely. The unit has the transport carriage with the meat grip assembly attached. Kinfe blade appears to be sharp. It cut through some veggies with no issues. Might have small dings on it, but nothing major and it spins round. Unit does not have a sharpener(but one can be added to it) Machine runs off of standard 120vac electricity. Plug it in and turn on. Not sure on when this was built and used but still is in Excellent running Condition. Gear driven Blade which is unbelievably quiet and smooth. Im pretty sure almost the entire unit is plated Brass which is why it still operates as it does for sure the the drive gears are brass. No gears made today would last this long and show this little wear. This thing just amazes me. Original Porcelain with only a few small chips covers the base. The Slide Tray movement is very smooth as well as the adjustment knob, very easy moving in and out. This Slicer does come with a built in Blade sharpener which does still work, part of the lever has been broken off at some time and is missing but lever still works. Blade is still in very good condition ... moreand fairly sharp, size is approx 11.5" Power cord had been replaced at some time with a grounded plug which upon checking we found the ground wire was not connected inside of motor housing. We did properly correct this hazard and grounded the machine. Weight of this thing Im guessing is pushing 200lbs so listing as local pickup only but could freight this item on a pallet. We will provide the pallet, cover the machine as well as secure it on the pallet for free. You must arrange your own Freight. Please contact UPS, Fed Ex or Freightquote.com for cost estimates.
