ANTIQUE RUBY FLASH GRAPE AND LEAF ENGRAVED DONUT DECANTER This auction is for an antique glass decanter with Grape and leaf wheel engraved design. The design is very similar to Pairpoint's Grape pattern. Although the origins of this decanter are unknown. The base and center are clear glass with the remaining surfaces flash on ruby red. Circa 1880-1900, I suspect that this was produced in Europe, although it might be American made. The decanter stands about 11 1/2" tall with the stopper in place. It is about 6" in diameter and rises 8 1/4" from the clear glass base to the mouth of the bottle. There has been a chip and possible re-glue to the plunger of the stopper as seen in the pictures, there is some wear loss to the fire on ruby red coloring, but otherwise the bottle is in fine old used condition; No chips or cracks and ... morefully functional for use or for display.
