GEM Doughnut Machine type B cake donut dropper complete set
This is for an old Gem Doughnut Machine Co. cake donut dropper. This is a complete working unit. There are a couple of chips on the top rim on the bowl; also there are a couple of chips out of the bottom. The donut former is attached to the bowl and is not removable like on a belshaw unit. It looks like it makes a small cake donut; the plunger is 1 1/2" across. Still has the original spacer for the top of the plunger. I am not sure if the wall mount arm is original; but it fits perfect and works like it should. This machine has been in storage for a long time. I did a little cleaning. But it could use a complete scrub down before use. The handle has had a repair in the past; but it is solid. It is missing the wood handle on the crank; it would be easy to replace. The actuator motor did not run an neither did the small motor which moves the oil. That is all the testing I have done and should give you an idea of the condition. VINTAGE EKCO U.S.A. MANUAL CAKE DONUT PASTRY FILLER MACHINE CAST IRON BASE
This eBay listing is for an old manual machine for injecting filling into cakes or pastries. I am listing it for sale on eBay auction in the exact condition I found it at an estate sale. It needs to be cleaned up. There is some surface rust on the top handle and in the steel pan. Also. There is rust on the cast iron base. The seven(7) photos with this listing show various views of this machine. The cast iron base is oval shaped at the bottom. That measures approximately 9 by 7 inches. The formed steel top measures about 8 inches in diameter at the top. The height from the bottom of the base to the top of the steel pan is 11 inches. The length of the handle is 15 1/2 inches. The spout is about 4 1/2 inches long. The outside diameter is 3/8 of an inch. The spout is made of aluminum and is partially closed at the end. The embossed words on top ... moreof the bottom of the base reads"EKCO U.S.A. PAT. on one side and"CHICAGO ILL" on the other side. The joint where the top of the cast iron base and the steel top come together is filled with a black sealer. I'm guessing that there was some leakage there at some time and someone patched it up.
