This is a beautiful used Berkel 823 commercial 1/4 h.p. deli meat and cheese slicer. Formerly belonged to an owner/operator of 17 delis in and around Chicago who told us it was purchased as a back-up unit in case something went wrong with a slicer in any of his stores. He didn't think it had two hours use on it. But told me it cost a young man his job when the boss found out the kid cleaned it while wearing his school ring, lightly scratching the surface. It is very clean for having ever been used. When disassembled, the blade looks almost new except for a tiny spot where food or moisture must have remained and etched the surface. It could be a simple issue of adjusting the belt, but I simply did not want to bother with it since it worked good anyway. 2) The cover on the sharpening unit is gone. This is a cosmetic issue. Since it does not effect its functionality. For specifications(VOLTZ. HZ, PH and the rest) see one of the pictures above. After checking what others ask for the shipping. I'm going to put $60, but will charge actual shipping plus box\supplies. If it will cost me less than $60, I'll issue refund. Obviously, local pick up will work as well. 4 Vintage 14" Slicer Knifes for Berkel Machine Three are marked Berkel. 1 marked SOSTEEL Germany. Actual diameter is 13- 7/8" Arbor diameter is 1" One crate board edge says 3675 0085. All have areas of rust. One has a nick. See picture. These came out of a restaurant about 25 years ago. They have been in shed, in a cabinet since. I have removed from boards. Washed and scrubbed with green scratchy, and remounted to boards. See pictures for detail.
