Primitive Antique Iron Stamp Mold Reading Starline Harvard Illinois Farm Equip We went to the flea market this weekend. And I’m going to sneak out to a barn sale today- so wish me luck, I’m sure it will be a cccchhhilllling experience at minimum! I’ve got lots of primitives this week for you- antique and charming, as well as advertising, artwork, material- there’s something for everyone! Here's another oldee that can speak for itself! It is either a stamp or a mold. Made of iron, with the relief image of a star in the center with relief letters surrrounding it that read, Starline Harvard ILL. Now, from what I was able to find, Starline was started by a man named Henry Ferris, who patented the hay carrier, in 1883. Over the years, they produced products meant to streamline farm work. I do not know exactly how long the company orperated ... moreout of their factory in Harvard, but I did find an article dated 1999, saying that it has been vacant for 10 years, and was being renovated. So, I've got a very cool little piece of history here- maybe it was used to stamp their boxes? I don't know for sure. it measures 1 1/2" diameter and stands a smidge over 1 1/2" tall. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with a layer of surface rust all over that so old it's just part of the patina. It is fairly heavy for its size, at a smidge under 6 ounces. International Harvester Advertising Knife - Okla City Farm Equip Store
This is a small advertising knife/key chain from the International Har vest er farm equipment store in Okla homa City. It is probably from the 1960's or 70's. The knife is 2 3/4" long(closed) and 4 3/4" with the blade open. The chain is 2" long. Condition is very good- no scratches. Scuffs or wear marks on either the handle, blade or key chain.

2 TRACTOR. BOAT, UTILITY, EXTERNAL SEAL BEAM, FENDER, LIGHTS. Found these at an estate sale. Tested them both and they work. They should be rewired. Would not be too hard to do. Remove screw at the bottom of the light(shown in photo 2) and the flange lifts up exposing the wire connection. The wire passes down through the attaching bolt(shown in photo 2) These is some light rust on outside edge. Could be easily sanded and repainted to match whatever. Sizes is shown in photo 4& 6. Rare! Here is an original 1881 annual catalogue for Massey Manufacturing farm equipment from Toronto. Ontario, Canada. The catalogue is well worn, has soiling, and has a 3-inch by 3-inch corner missing from the first page, but it's quite a fascinating and rare historical item that would make a wonderful addition to any farm equipment collection! The cover is on a heavy stock of paper that's semi-glossy. There are 24 numbered pages inside, with eight illustrations included, and the rest being text that extols the virtues of Massey farm equipment. Featured are the Massey Harvester(which takes up a few pages) Miller's Buckeye Twine Binder, the Massey Mower(a favorite machine, per the catalogue) Sharp's Self-Dumping Rake. I acquired this item a couple of weeks ago at an estate sale in a box lot. Item has been used with some wear and staining noted to the front and back covers as well as several of the pages inside. Also I noted that pages that make up this guide feel like they are made out of a heavier stock paper. Also manual has a musty. Moth ball smell to it. All pages are still legible even with above mentioned flaws. Manual is over 86 pages long and consist of 3 Sections covering Engine. Electrical and Hydraulics. No particular model of equipment is covered in this manual. Instead it is intended to be used as a general guide to provide the serviceman with a reference to help him analyze faulty ... moreparts. Set of Farm Equip, Sickle Mower, Trip Rake and Disk
These are some good little pieces of farm equipment. I do not know the manufacturer. They are all pressed steel including the wheels. I do not know what parts could be missing. But the rake and mower do work. The rake moves up and down and there's a small gear on the wheel of the sickle mower the moves the sickle back and forth when the wheel turns. The disk is not part of the set, I just threw it in as it appears the same scale. I tried to take pictures so you can get a good idea of the shape they're in. Shipping is $8.95 in the USA
