Cenco? Variac AutoTransformer Variable Power Supply Works
This is a used Cenco Central Scientific Co Variac AutoTransformer Variable Power Supply. I actually do not know if this is indeed made by Cenco as it has no markings or labels but the tag on the cord I can just make out"CEN" and I obtained it with a large lot of mostly Cenco Powerstat transformers. It has a molded grey plastic case that has a few minor scratches. The 3-prong grounded power cord is in great shape. The front has an on-off switch. Variable level control, 3-prong grounded outlet and the fuse. I do not know the what output amperage this is but the fuse that in it is rated at 1 amp. I tested the output voltage levels and it starts at about 15 volts and ranges up to about 117 volts. This would be nice for a low cost variac and would be easier to use than using an inline light bulb(s) My partner and I have recently acquired ... morethe stock of a recently closed radio.
