You are bidding on a Bakelite Ultraformer type"B" It was used as an RF transformer in the Ultradyne(L1) superhetrodyne. Along with other later models of Ultradyne radios. The type"B" transformer has no space between the primary and secondary coils. The primary inductance for both types is about 1.6mH with a resistance of about 7.2 ohms. The secondary inductance for both types"A" and"B"is about 6.1mH with a resistance of about 16 ohms. My measurements were about 7 ohms for the primary and about 15 ohms for the secondary on this unit.

USED heavy duty HV transformer for Y456/4CX15000 Eimac RF Amplifier. Appears to be in very good condition. Includes filament winding of 7.5 V at 160 Amps. And separate screen winding. Made by UNIVERSAL VOLTRONICS(possible model number 3 13 232) This HV transformer was removed from an RF Broadcast Amplifier. Weights almost 40 lbs. C" CORE dimensions: 9+1/4" by 5+1/2" by 3" COIL cylindrical dimensions: longitudinal axis: 6+1/2" Diameter(average) 7" somewhat oval shaped. Diameter varies from 6" to 7+1/2" from one axis to the other) The last image shows the winding types. Not sure what the other primary taps are for. They were not used. It does not appear to be 3 phase. But I am not 100% sure. The primary windings are all electrically connected inside the transformer and can't be isolated. The very ... morelow resistance readings are subject to some error due to meter inaccuracy especially below 1 Ohm. I do not have the safety gear nor the HV instruments to safely measure the output windings potentials. Dielectric gloves are a must since the HV winding is greater than 10KV(possibly as high as 15-20KV) The filament winding IS also internally connected to one end of the HV winding via a center tap( THIS IS A LETHAL TRANSFORMER due to possible FLASHOVER. SO BEWARE! For your own safety make sure you are properly trained to handle HV circuits. I can only provide this limited information. I can't tell you how to connect this transformer. Up for auction is this old Bendix brand 6 octal tube AM radio chassis. The model number is 0676. Serial number is 14289. This chassis would be a great source of parts for many higher end radios form the 40's. It has a big power transformer and audio output transformer. The chassis is clean and all original. The size is approximately 12" long, 7" front to back and 7" tall. It is well built of thick steel. This chassis is USA made. It would be a good chassis to restore, add a speaker and just listen to. You are bidding on an All-American Type 201-A RF transformer made by Rauland Manufacturing. Chicago. It is from the mid 1920’s, and is designed for a battery radio. The brown bakelite transformer is for 225 to 500 meters(most of the broadcast band) Both coils show good continuity, but two of the binding posts are not original. The brown bakelite case is nice with no cracks or chips and measures 2 ¾ by 1 5/8 by 1 ¼ inches in size, not counting the mounting ears or binding posts. I had not seen this transformer previously, so it may have been designed as a replacement part, rather than original equipment in a manufacturer receiver. 3 Phase Toroidal Transformer from 1 KW RF Plasma Cutter ~ 30 VDC Output Voltage
3 Phase Toroidal Power Transformer Removed from RF plasma cutter. Schematic diagram at bottom I personally removed this from an operational plasma cutter. We sold the 1 KW RF amplifier last year, This transformer fed a 40 amp diode rectifier array, though based on the wire gauges on the transformer I think that rating was overkill. The output filter caps connected after the diode array were rated at 35VDC, so using 30 volts it would take 33 amps to get 1 kw of power, divide that by 3 for the three transformers and each toroidal transformer would be contributing just over 11 amps which sounds right for the wire gauge. I don't know much about 3 phase power. So I drew up the wiring diagram of this transformer. There is an extra set if wires connected to the input that went to other power circuitry. I am assuming that the blue wires are centertap and the red wires the outer windings, not having a milli ohm meter I am not totally sure. I did unhook the correct wires on one toroid set to verifiy that the brown pair is separate from the others, and the red and blue wires are a set. Here is a modulation transformer from a Johnson Viking II transmitter It was made for Johnson by SNC and has the OEM part number P1992. In the original application the transformer modulated an RF amplifier with an output power of 110 Watts. This modulation transformer is rated for 55 watts of audio power. The primary impedance is 6000 ohms ct. The secondary is 2400 Ohms split. The secondary windings are connected in series to modulate the final amplifier of the transmitter, the impedance is 2400 ohms and the secondary can handle 230 mA DC. The windings can be paralleled to drive a 600 Ohm line, this can be the drive for the modulator in a high powered Rf amplifier. The transformer is in very good physical condition with no dents. The original semigloss black paint job is in good condition with a few scrapes and nicks.There are some surface ... morerust on the core. The cloth leads are in good shape, the colors are good and they are still pliable. When the transformer was removed from the equipment the leads were un-soldered rather than cut since they are short.The leads are between 2 and 3 inches long. The dimensions are 3" by 3.5" across the end bells by 3.5 inches tall. The transformer is fully enclosed above chassis vertical mounting. The weight is a little over 4.5 Pounds. This could be used as a replacement in a Viking II, A replacement in similar ham transmitters or as a great mod. transformer for a home brew classic AM rig.
