UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1979/80 D’AQUISTO JIM HALL MODEL( AKA JAZZ LINE) ELECTRIC ARCH TOP 6 STRING GUITAR. LEFT HANDED( LEFTY) This left handed laminated arch top is a smaller( 15” lower bout, 24 ¾ inch Scale length. There is one Dimarzio hum-bucking style pick up in the neck position once volume and one tone control. The neck is maple with an ebony fingerboard. D’Aquisto made 4 or 5 left handed guitars. This one. According to the ledger on page 177 of Schmidt’s“ Acquired of the Angels“ is the first lefty Jimmy ever made. It is Dates as a completed date of 7/26/80. The Jim Hall models have no serial numbers. The guitar is in very good condition-some may say excellent. I have owned this fine instrument for almost 5 years having purchased it from a player/ collector who purchased the DQ from the original owner. One repair was made on a simple ... more1” missing chunk of binding on the upper right bout. It was blended in nicely and looks fine. No other issues with the binder. See pictures. The guitar shows natural‘antiquing and checking" as one would expect with an instrument this age. The guitar functions perfectly with fast action and a dead straight neck. The stability of this guitar lets you have any action you want with 10’s. 11’s or 12’s. I have tried all and 12’s sound the best in my opinion. The neck is set perfectly and the truss rod works fine though it has rarely ever needed adjusting. Comes with the original HCS in working order a couple of latches are sticky but work fine. The guitar has not seen gigs or overuse since I have owned it as I have many guitars. This fine instrument was always kept in my 68/74 temperature controlled smoke free home. It should be pointed out that Both John and James purchased laminated tops and backs. Sometimes sides, for a few reasons. One there is less feedback with laminated top and back. This a Vintage Dean"Bud Professional" Electric Guitar. It has a Strat type body with a unique Bud logo painted on the top. It has a single humbucker pickup. A Floyd Rose type Tremelo/bridge(I'm not sure it is a real Floyd Rose bridge) tone and volume controls and a toggle switch. It was made in Korea for Dean, probably for a limited production run as a promotion. The serial number is 890027. It's missing a cover plate for the electronics(see photo) and the wammy bar.It comes with a soft shell case that is in fair condition.I plugged it in and everything seems to work OK. The action is OK, but probably needs a setup adjustment. This is a highly collectable guitar and it's art design is very unique.

A great looking early adjustable voltage regulator by Westinghouse. Measuring 6 ½ by 6 inches at the base with a rectangular glass dome. I don’t know what it was used for or if it is functional but looks to be in good condition. No cracks or chips in the glass with some minor storage scratches on the bottom of the dome.
