Welcome to Blue Mountain Music Thanks for coming to the Mountain! This is a Vintage Peavey Cs 400 Power amp. This thing is a tank. This must be one of the first Peavey built. Look at the back of the amp cause they have the heat sinks there where the out put transistors are. Later the transistors were all on the heat sink that mounted on top. Both sides are working. But I did fix a resistor that had come loose and was causing the A side to have a bad frying eggs,popping noise. Both sides are now working, I think these old amps have a better sound and will take more abuse and last longer then a lot of the amps made today. What do you think? Fan is hot wired on high all the time.It is quite noisy, switch on front is broken! This one does show signs of use. But I think there is still mucho life left in her. Amp will be checked again.
