I dare to say it is in much better condition than any of the other zody chair listings here on ebay. This is the premium version with the polished aluminum swivel base, not the cheap painted version. In addition this chair features all of the available ergonomic features, including the lower pelvis support and the 50/50 split horizontal and vertical adjustable lumbar support structure, that most other chairs listed on ebay are missing! In addition this chair features the fully adjustable armrest upgrade, allowing the perfect ergonomic adjustment for every body size. These armrests do not only adjust vertical in height, you can also rotate them in and out plus slide them forward, backwards, inward and outward! Short Story: Here we're offering a small group of Aeron chairs that have been largely neglected- until we recently gave them a little TLC. These are"Basic Aerons" explanation to follow- and were relegated to board/waiting-room occasional use for several years: Eventually. They were"robbed" of some of their good parts- so that other chairs could prosper) and put into storage. As part of a clean up and recycle effort: We have replaced the seats and backs. Etc as needed, and installed New pneumatic lift cylinders to ensure a nice tight chair with no"wobble" then swapped around some arm cushions. And polished and touched-up as needed. They look great. Are fully functional, tested and guaranteed; and they're ready to roll another 15 years. The MESH on these chairs is Gray. Not Black: Herman Miller calls it ... moreNICKEL. The MFG color code is 3D03 The traditional Carbon Black color code is 3D01 The frame is the same"G1" Graphite found on the classic Carbon-Black-Meshed Aeron. The BASIC AERON is made of the same parts used in the"FULLY ADJUSTABLE" model. But a couple parts are"not included" and a few features are disabled. Specifically: Height control is the same. Lumbar support(not included) can be added to the back which is the same. Same seat. Same base and wheels. Tilt tension: the knob on the right is present in both models: it tensions the Big Spring which adjusts for the weight of the user and how much force is required to lean back in the chair. The Tilt LOCK is missing. However: this is the mechanism that Stops you from leaning back and keeps you upright regardless of posture or effort. It's a cable operated wedge that blocks the chair from tilting: In the Basic Chair the wedge and gears are there. But the cable and lever are omitted. The Arm support is Not adjustable on the Basic Aeron: the arms are fixed in the middle position. They can be moved with some effort and tools. Got it from a friend so I do not have the hand rest or the missing leg(rolling caster) There is damage on the seat the back of the seat and the 2 arms that hold it in the back got snapped off so it is safe to say the entire seat area needs to be replaced. I tested out the knobs and the hydraulic part that rises up and down and it works just fine I even sat on it and worked normal. The large back rest mesh is in perfect condition with no rips and the seat has a line in the middle where a line is cut. Also the foam that goes on the back center of the chair is missing. The hand rest looks like it is in good shape and can be adjusted up and down just fine. I have owned this specific chair in the past and I know that this is completely user-friendly and can ... morebe repaired without taking it to a special location.
