The diameter of the reel is about 4-3/4” and the height is about 1-1/8” It is marked“PFLUEGER CAPTAIN MADE IN USA” I read that the slotted screws that hold the foot to the frame date it to pre-mid-1930s. It appears to be in great condition with normal wear from use and would make a great addition to any vintage fly reel collection! Antique Pflueger "Gem" single action fishing reel 2094 with box
This was my dad's fishing reel. Has green nylon line on the reel. Shows some signs of wear. But he took very good care of it. I have not tried to clean it up. The original box is very worn with attempts at repairing with tape many years ago. He was born in 1902 and the date on the guarantee is 1926. Listing also includes 2 empty packets: one says"Atlas" and one is Western Brand. The Atlas was made in Portland, Oregon where my dad lived his life.

You are bidding on a Pflueger Reel. It is marked on the side with the handles Nickel Silver on the reel. On the star drag it is marked Pflueger Williams Patd. Nov. 16. 09. There is a bulldog with the words'Trademark' surrounding it. The opposite end says Steel Pivot Bearing. The bottom part that mounts to the rod is stamped 400. The Bakelite end caps are not cracked. The handles are in very good condition(unbroken) Some of the plating on the star drag is missing. The leather line leveler has a crack in the leather. The end caps measure 3 3/4" across. This reel seems to operate correctly and does not appear to be missing parts. I am no expert on fishing reels. I would say the reel is in very good condition. This is a nice clean reel. This Pflueger Quadruple reel custom made between 1904 and 1908 is over 100 years old. This is a very rare reel. The reel only has Pflueger quadruple written on reel by crank with NO Pat. Or any other writing on reel except for a 09 stamped on the foot of the reel. This reel is in working condition and very rare custom ordered reel from factory. This is a nice piece of history possibly made from German silver but not positive about that. Please do your homework about this reel. It is hard to get info about this item because of its rarity. I wiped the reel down with a damp rag with water so I could read the dates and removed the line. I got all this in an old Kennedy Tackle box. Antique Vintage 300 Pflueger Oceanic Free Spool Surf lure casting fishing reel
This antique Pflueger fishing reel has a bull dog trade mark. Oceanic Free Spool Surf Casting reel is made in the USA. I believe it to be from the early 1900's. It has all kinds of pat. numbers on it and works well. This is a 300, stamped on the bottom of the reel, still has its leather and it's flexible. It has a wood handle grip and a magnet does not stick to it so I believe it to be brass- you people know better than I do. NO RESERVE so good luck bidding and ask any questions. The reel is a Pflueger#3178 pakron in very good working order, some blimishes on paint, but no rust, has brass finish under paint, stainless steel construction, heavy duty for battling big fish! has original multi colored braided line with lead leader inside so they could tell how much yds. of line was out.This unit would make an Awsome wall hanger to complete that trophy billfish or any other monster fish of the old days gone! hard to find!
