Bothe sets have wood wheels with a very beautiful grain(see pictures 4& 5) These were left over from a project. I always seem like I can't find that fourth caster to finish a project. So I thought I would see if anyone out there may need that elusive fourth wheel. The first caster has 1-7/16" diameter wheels. The caster has a height of just over 1.900" From the bottom of the wheel to the top of the stem is 3.600" The second caster has 1-13/16" diameter wheels. Set of Six Matching 2¼" BASSICK Ball Casters, Brass Wheels w. Steel Swivel Bases
This lot contains six matching heavy duty swivel wheel casters. All marked"Bassick USA" on the stem. The bases- four mounting screw holes to each one- are made of steel and the ball wheels appear to be made of brass. To make it easier to steer and navigate, they have a two-way swivel action- one half of the wheel swivels inside the other, while the whole wheel swivels against the base. Because they are made in two halves, the wheels don't form a perfect circle, but the diameter, depending on where you measure it, falls within the range of 2" and 2½" The bases are about 1½" x 1½" They all appear to be in generally good and functional condition. These came off of an old railroad baggage/freight cart. They are in useable condition. They need cleaning. The wheels measure 12" in diameter and are 2" wide. Each wheel diameter is about 4 inches and the tread width is about 1 3/4 inches. The overall height of each caster is about 5 1/2 inches. Up for sale is a pair of wheels Hollow-Tread Wheel with Steel Smooth Rim. 8" x 1-3/4" 5/8" Axle, Centered Hub/Ball Bearing, 110 lb Capacity No real use on the wheels the scratches and dirt are from storage. Center-Mount Hub. Thick rubber treads offer more cushion than standard rubber treads, and unlike air-filled tires there’s no chance of flats. Treads are ribbed black rubber, unless noted. Hollow Tread— Also known as semi-pneumatic wheels, these have a puncture-resistant tread and a pocket of nonpressurized air that doesn’t require inflation. Temperature range is not rated. All rims are welded. Smooth rims are better for light duty applications. Center- mount hubs are symmetrical for equal clearance on both sides of the wheel. Easy- roll bearings have steel balls and require less effort to start rolling.
