Set of 4 Huge Antique Vintage Bond Cast Iron Industrial Caster Cart Table Wheels
This is a very large old set of caster wheels. The wheels are all cast iron and the frame is a very heavy metal. They all match. They are marked Bond. There are no cracks or chips. They have not been cleaned. They can easily be cleaned by soaking them in a degreaser overnight. Each caster weighs approx. 4 1/4 pounds. They all swivel and roll smooth. The base has ball bearings and the wheel has a hole made for oiling. They measure approx. 5 inches tall. The wheel measures approx. 1 1/2 inches wide and approx. 4 inches across. 4 Vintage Colson Industrial Cast Iron Wheel Casters w/Grease Fittings Steampunk
For your consideration we have 4 vintage Colson 4" wheel casters. Model# 5-4-138. 2 swivel and the other two have been soldered to remain stationary. They all have grease fittings. But one is missing the actual fitting. The base they're attached to measures 4" x 4 1/2" They are about 5 1/2" high and the wheels are 4" by 2" These are very heavy duty with a combined weight of about 28 lbs. 4 Large Vintage 6" Cast Iron/Forged Steel Industrial Swivel Caster Wheels Bond
Wheels are 6" x 2" and the whole unit stands 8 1/2" tall. Bases are 7 3/16" x 5 1/2" with the bolt holes being 5 1/2" x 4" center of hole to center of hole with the holes being 9/16" diameter. Mounting plate is 1/2" thick. There is a grease fitting to grease the bearings in the swivel mechanism and another grease fitting to grease the wheel itself. They all roll and swivel nicely and could use cleaned up some. I usually hit these with a pressure washer then grease them up again but it is way too cold outside now to even think about that. They are sound and solid with no wobble and no chips or cracks and will handle a heavy load. Signed BOND Manheim Pa. They weigh around 21 1/2 lbs each-some slightly more-some slightly less. Bond has been in business for around 100 years and they don't make ... morethis quality anymore as far as I am concerned. Back when these were made they usually used roller bearings but these are still that tight that I cannot see under the lip to see if they are ball bearing or roller bearing. These are rigid, do not swivel, and are marked Alpine. All are in good usable condition and turn freely. One has a corner broken as shown in picture 8, but is still usable. 4 Antique Vintage Matching Cast Iron Industrial Caster Cart Wheels Pioneer Nice!
This is a nice old set of cast iron caster wheels. They are all solid cast iron including mounting plate. They all match. They are marked Pioneer Elkhart. Ind. H 190 937. There are no cracks or chips. These have not been cleaned, but can be easily cleaned by soaking them in a degreaser for a couple of days, but will leave that to the collector's discretion. They are all heavy made. Each caster weighs 3 3/4 pounds. They all swivel and roll smooth. The base has ball bearings. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. The wheel measures approx. 1 3/8 inch wide and approx. 3 inches across. The mounting plate measures approx. 5 inches by 3 1/4 inches. This is a very nice heavy duty set.
