Up for auction is an awesome set of(4) very large 19th century fixed antique cast iron casters. These are extremely heavy duty and weigh just under 11lbs each! The wheels measure approx. 5 3/4" and stand approx. 8" tall overall. The base measures approx. 5" x 4 3/4" with drilled mounting holes that measure 3 5/8" and 4" center to center. The wheels move freely and are covered in surface rust. I have left them exactly as found not knowing if someone wants the aged patina. They need a good cleaning and grease. The only defect I can find is a small chip in one of the wheels.see the photo) I'm not sure if it's an old chip or defect in the casting. You are considering an old factory cart. The cart was sand blasted and sealed. The ends of the cart were cut and welded vertically to make a bench. I replaced the original broken wood with rough cut(but later sanded and sealed) lumber with a ton of character. The metal and wood on the cart has scratches. Bends, dings and rust which adds to its industrial look. I call this piece a"small bench" I also have two small wing carts, two large wing carts, a large bench cart and a small cart with plates. I also have one railroad cart left. This piece is about 55 1/2" long X 20 1/2" deep X 14" tall to the top of the seat X 36" tall to the top of the side rails. This cart is long and very heavy. Up for sale is this beautiful antique industrial railroad factory cart with heavy duty cast iron wheels and hardware. This cart has be completely restored- great decor and very functional repurposed as a coffee table. It measures 48" long(53" to metal) by 25 1/2" wide and 15" tall. The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. The cast iron wheels and hardware were pressure washed then painted with two coats of rustoleum black. Ask if you have any questions and thank you for looking. This is a nice set of 4 antique heavy duty cast iron caster wheels. They are in good condition. They swivel and roll smooth. The wheel itself is approx. 3 inches by 1 1/4 inches. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. The mounting piece measures approx. 4 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches. It is marked on mounting plate 1050 3 A 3. Each caster wheel weighs approx. 3 3/4 pounds. They are marked Bond 1018 on the wheel. The swivel part has ball bearings. The wheel has a hole in it for oiling. We have cleaned most of the grease and grime from these. Up for BIN or Best Offer is an old industrial/railroad cart.Nice old cart with cast iron wheels.this will make a nice coffee table.The cart measures approx.42 1/2" long and 19" wide.From the top of the handle to the ground measures about 38"The top of the wood measures 13.5" from the ground.The front wheels are 12" and the small turning wheels are approx. 6"I can see this all sanded and cleaned up.or left just the way it is and put flowers on it.It has the name"Hamilton" stenciled on the sides(OHIO?one side you really can't see it but the other side you can see some of it.Must be picked up.If you have any questions please ask and I will get back to you as soon as possible.Thanks.
