Antique HEALTH-O-METER scale green 249 lbs Continental Scale Co cast iron works
I don't know when this old scale was made. Possibly from the early 1900s, but it is a unique shape I haven't seen before. A household scale, I believe, with rusty-ness on the inside underneath, see picture#5, it is still in working order, very heavy, with a readable face that has either some dirt or foxing. It has been repainted at some time during it's life, from a darker green to this light green. It was made by the Continental Scale Company of Chicago. It measures about 16-1/2" long x about 9" wide x about 7" high. Shipping is actual cost. And the scale weighs over 16 lbs. so I am figuring about 19 to 20 lbs with packing. Thanks for looking! Comes with a roughly made enclosure that measures 4 5/8" tall x 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/2" deep. Flange on meter measures 3 1/2" OD and mounting hole would need to be 2 3/4" plus for clearance.
