Up for Consideration… Original US Navy issue heavy rain poncho circa WW II. This poncho is made of a heavy weatherproof material with brown camouflage on one side and green camouflage on the other. The seams are rain proofed(sealed) and there are functioning snaps down both sides and around the neck. The back is marked 938 in both black paint and tan stinsel. This poncho was issued to a family member who proudly served in the US Navy from 1941 to 1962. In small hand written letters on the back of the poncho is“Punchy The Kid” Each side of the poncho measures 5’ 4” wide by 3’ 10” long. The poncho is in excellent condition. The poncho has all of the original functioning snaps and there are no holes or stains. Overall the poncho is slightly soiled from use and has some fading of color on the green camouflage side. Here is an authentic Iron Cross Medal with ribbon and swastika. This was part of my late father's collection. I don't know when or where he got it. But he had it for a long time. This medal is in excellent condition with only some natural tarnish on the silver and dust. No chips on the black paint. No loose components. The ribbon does have some tiny holes in it. See photo.
