The design is what looks like scholars or noblemen in colorful kimono with written kanji. We think that they are poems but it is very hard to translate the writing. They are also trimmed in gold. It also looks very much like something made by Kutani but not really sure. The cups are 2 1/4" high and 3" in diameter. Please have a look at my other items up for auction and in my ebay store. vintage 1950's post WWII Czech VZ58 Bayonet combat knife unused unopened #2
This nice vintage bayonet is 11 3/8 inches long overall with a 6 3/4 inch blade. The blade is carbon steel with a dull black finish. It has a long deep blood groove/ fuller on each side. It is marked on one side of the tang of the blade 3149b. The other underside of the tang is marked 222. This variation of the bayonet has a full tang. Redish/ brown composite grips with 2 rivets, and the longer type of guard. This bayonet is still in its plastic shrink wrap. It has not been opened. You can see in photo#3 what these look like unwrapped, but please note that the auction is for the wrapped(unopened) bayonet only. The unwrapped bayonet is NOT included. This item has never been used but does have wear to to the packaging from storage and handling. Shipping is $6.65

Vintage Paper Bar Napkin, WWII, WW2, 1940s, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Cary Grant
This is a vintage paper bar napkin from the mid to late 1940’s. It is from a restaurant or bar named Blanchard’s that was located at 1610 N. Vine in Hollywood. California. This is the location of Cary Grant’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The napkin is about 4.5” square and depicts a line of bears. Carrying two flags and marching in a line. One of the bears has a rifle over his shoulder. Notice that the flag has only 48 stars. This napkin was mixed in with some WWII-era military photos that were purchased at an estate sale. Perhaps some GI visited California during training or on his way overseas and saved this napkin to remember his visit to Blanchard's and to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Obviously somebody must have thought enough of his/her visit there to save the napkin. This is a very unique piece of history; you won't find ... moreanother one like it. I am a very fast shipper. Offering for sale this guaranteed original. Complete and working Watling Rol A Top slot machine. This is a desirable coin front model; made before WWII. The top casting of the machine features a horn of plenty that has coins cascading out. The lower casting features a twin jackpot. This was designed so that there would always be a jackpot of coins in view to entice a patron to want to play the machine. The payouts alternate between the left and right jackpot automatically. The double jackpot is all original and complete and working. This machine is a 5 cent denomination; with the serial number of 88.831. The serial number is stamped into the outside of the cabinet(near the coin return on the upper right) as well as into the wood of the cabinet near the coin box. Per the Watling reference book this dates the machine to the late 1930s. This ... moreis a very nice pre-war slot machine that presents very well and plays perfectly. The mechanism is all original and is in excellent condition. The wood case and castings were tastefully restored and have a great overall patina. The castings are all in excellent condition– showing no signs of cracks or damage. The machine has its original reel strips. There are some scratches and age toning in a few spots– but nothing too distracting. Colors in the award card and strips are sharp and vivid. While Watling slot machines in general tend to be coveted by collectors. These pre-war models are particularly desirable. The overall build quality and the attention to detail(look at the fluted sides of the wooden cabinet! is really superior for Watling machines made before WWII. The machine has a newer cash box and Watling metal back door. Lock and key are newer and work well. Here is a great Vintage bayonet from I think the time of the Vietnam war. I can't find any markings. The bayonet is 11 inches long. The bayonet seems to me to be in very good shape but in does show some wear. I am not export in bayonets so please check out the pictures and jugde the condition for yourself. Coca-Cola full depth case, Served in Alaska WWII vintage.
Coca-Cola This is a full depth 24 bottle case circa 1940's. I believe this may have been used to supply troops in the Alaskan theater as you will see a stencil on the side that reads"return to Adak" Adak is in the Aleutian chain which Japan invaded during the war. The case is made by Pacific Box Company. Oakland California. Note the logo has the trademark registration info in the tail of the C. The end of the case also has"CU 1.17" which may refer the space it takes up in cubic feet. Also on the end is a"43" with what is before it is unreadable. That may be a date. Amazing rare vintage tapa 'bark' cloth! Early Hawaii or Pacific Islands, WWII !
This is such a sensational piece of very old tapa cloth(I believe that's what it's called! I acquired it many years ago rolled up in an old trunk. The trunk was full of items that belonged to a veteran from WWII. He was stationed in the Pacific Islands somewhere and there were also many photos of natives. Huts, etc. In the trunk were also many photos taken in the Hawaiian Islands of sailors dated 1942. I have parted with most of the contents, but have hung on to this wonderful old'bark' cloth with the intention of having it framed and displayed in my home. Well, that's just not going to happen, so I'd prefer to find it a new home with folks who can enjoy it, rather than keeping it stored! Please look carefully at the photos, there is quite a bit of wear around the edges. The entire piece measures about 35" by ... more34" hard to be real accurate with the edges not perfectly intact. U.S. Patent 2.075,827 Foreign Pat. Pend. Type 6-R* Certified Ductilon Made of cast iron with what looks like a galvanized coating. Some of which is worn off as shown in photos. The u-shaped stock is iron. Overall. Measures 23" long by 16 3/4" wide. The flukes are 6" wide. Weighs approx. 13 lbs. Folds and unfolds very easily. From my research. I have found that the patent filing date was November 20, 1933 and the issue date was April 6, 1937. The inventors were John K. Northrop and Harry M. Gesner. This patent was reissued June 24, 1941 for anchors for seaplanes for WWII. This anchor is not a reissue ~ does NOT have a reissue date on it.
