HEWLETT PACKARD HP106A PRECISION QUARTZ STANDARD The HP106A Precision Quartz Standard is perhaps one of the most sought after quartz oscillators that HP ever produced. There were not a great many of them sold and they were made for a relatively short period of time. For many years I had a comprehensive Standards lab which can be seen at my site and acquired many interesting calibration devices. This HP106 was part of my lab and I used it for quite a long time. I retired it about 8 years ago. Recently. I applied power to the unit for about 15 minutes just to see if it was still working and it appears to be working with all of the outputs showing signal. The one thing I did notice was that the meter switch contacts seem a bit dirty. It measures about 7” high x 17” deep X 19” wide. It weighs packed approximately 40 pounds. As an interesting note it sold for $3450 in 1965. This unit is the iconic HP quartz oscillator and is rarely seen for sale. The unit is in good physical condition with a scratch on the lower front panel.
