For Sale is a Melles Griot 3X Multi Prism Beam Expander(non-cylindrical spot) that requires some minor repair by reattaching the final prism with UV cure adhesive. Preparing to list this item when it became apparent that the adhesive holding the final prism had let go in storage. Upon careful disassembly found the prism to be loose within the expander housing however no visible damage to the surfaces of the prisms is evident. The amount of handling in this condition was at a minimum. Careful observation of mating surfaces will indicate proper orientation of prim on mounting surface at the time of repair. I would perform the repair but do not want to be responsible for selling a refurbished unit. My listings are always straight up and honest. I'd rather sell this as a student project than try to pass off a repair and have issues later. ... moreThis is a great opportunity to save a bundle on a very useful piece of equipment by a qualified person performing the repair themselves. The OD of the expander is 30mm. Length is 38mm. The center objective and exit aperture are both 8mm diameter and at the exit there is a 14.5mm diameter x 4.5mm deep pocket with soft tip set screw to attach additional optics.
