The laser was working prior to being pulled from the ... moreunit. The other units listed on ebay you will find are located overseas and are for the laser only; what I'm selling is the whole block that is held in place by two screws and one ribbon cable; installation with the block should be very easy and require no soldering. Only tools you will need are a phillips screwdriver and at least half a brain. Long story short I have a dead c333es thanks to a broken faceplate motor assembly(unrelated to the laser assembly) Repairing the face motor on my end appears to be incredibly cost prohibitive or more likely impossible due to lack of parts so I'm selling the laser from my unit to try to recoup my losses. For what it is worth many SACD players use this same laser if you do some research(keyword: KHM-230AAA) As such I have no way of testing the laser anymore so this is sold as-is with no express warranty. If you are interested in the entire SCD-C333ES as-is with broken face motor AND including this optical pickup assembly I am more than happy to offer the entire thing to you for FREE of charge as long as you pay the cost to ship.
