Lamp appears to be in excellent condition- no cracks in the lamp glass or lens. Includes the top glass chimney portion. This is the original patina- have not made any attempt to clean or polish the metal. Stamped"Collins London Bockett Microscope Lamp" along the brass base perimeter. Collins of London manufactured these lamps between 1866-1900. Actual date this lamp is unknown. Measures approx 9" tall by 5" in diameter at the base. A terrific piece for any vintage lamp collector and makes for a wonderful decorative piece. Movie prop or theater prop or just an interesting conversation piece.

Rare 1930s Spencer Lens Co Laboratory & Microscope Lamp
The Spencer Lens Co. web site describes this as an adjustable laboratory& microscope lamp produced in the 1930s. I have listed this as rare as I have not seen another listed on Ebay that includes the removeable slide atachment mounted on the front. Even the web site does not show it. The condition is the best I have seen listed and there is very little to appologise for. The black crackle finish is almost perfect with only one pea size area of loss. The chrome stand has some corrosion on the lower area. The slide attachment allows different colored slides to be inserted. I think oil slides would look great. The cord has been replaced with a cloth covered period one. Will look great illuminating an art deco collection OR? Shipping is to the lower 48 states.
