It is in very good used condition. As you can see by the photographs it has a zoom feature of 1X to 1.6 X, as you can also see there is only one ocular, I have no idea where the fellow ocular is, if I should come across it at some point in the future I will send it to whomever is the winning bidder of this item. This head also has an applanation tonometer mounting pin attached, again this can be seen in the photos. After being in ophthalmology for over 45 years many slit lamps have come and gone. This unit is in good cosmetic condition but I was not able to test it due to lack of power supply. Unit is from a university surplus. I used a 9 and a 12 colt dc power supply to test it but nothing comes on and i dont know what voltage of power supply it takes. The lamp comes with the unit bu it has a totally different power source. it has a lumina scanning system and nikon dx-d82 35mm camera. No cosmetic issue other than regular wears. no cracks or or gross mark. Once again i tried to power this up with 2 DC power supplies and i got nothing. This is a complete Zeiss Illuminator assembly for a KF-2 microscope body. It is the 6 volt. 10 watt model and comes complete as you can see in the photographs with the lamp holder, lamp, condenser and diffuser. It even has the screws to attach it. Just add your 6 volt power supply and you are in business! It MAY be possible. If you don't have a factory Zeiss power supply, to adapt this assembly to use a low wattage 12 volt bulb of similar size and design, powering it through a power supply cannibalized from a desk lamp.
