This is a TASCO zoom microscope. Powered from 500x up to 1200x. The base of the microscope has both a mirror and a lamp that runs on two AA batteries. The bulb may need to be replaced, but I saw no other damage that would keep it from woking with a good pair of batteries. The box is in good condition. Made of what I believe is luan mahogany. Vintage Selsi No. 293 8X Pocket Telescope/30X Microscope Japan In Original Box
This is a decent(not top) quality optical instrument made by Selsi in Japan. Probably in the 1960s. It is an 8X chromed tube, mini-telescope which can also function as a 30X microscope. It is 6" long in telescope mode and can be extended(to focus) to approximately 8" Included are its original gift box and instruction sheet, all in excellent condition. I consider this to be more of a novelty item or higher quality toy than a precision optical instrument(my apologies to Selsi) But, it is well made, works quite well, and is in very good condition.

I don't know a lot about Microscope adapters. But this is a vintage one. Tower 37. One of the pics shows that there is some reddish rust on tube of eyepiece. It does not look like that at all. It must have been the flash. There is some slight surface browning on it. But does not affect operation of adapter. The eye piece is a Lumiscope 5x. All seems to work and move fine. I believe it is an OM mount. Glass is clear. No fogging or scratches. Shows signs of normal use. Please look at all pics and if you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Up for sale is a Olympus Japan microscope. Looks pretty good but I'm not sure what it is missing. It has one eye piece. I suspect there is a light or mirror that goes in the bottom. There is a magnification lens under the tray. I pulled it out so you could see it. The mechanics of the knobs and the top feel smooth. Check out the pics. You guys know more than I do on these.
