HAMMARLUND SP-600 JX-17 (1955) WITH CASE - IF GAIN MOD - NICELY RESTORED
Pictured here is a nicely restored Hammarlund SP-600-JX-17 SN17825. Which dates it to late 1955. When I purchased this radio came with the factory approved IF GAIN modification in place of the bandspread brake. This SP-600 has been restored with the faceplate professionally repainted and all bands put in working order. The Bands 1 and 2 have had their sections in the band select turret replaced with original parts. All tubes have been tested and are within spec. This sale includes the case and a reproduction of the 35 page instruction and service manual with fold-out 11X17 schematics. Please have a look at the photos and ask questions. The faceplate has been professional repainted. The only missing parts that I can discern are the tube hold-down covers for V17 and V19. A transformer has been added to the rear of the radio to allow for the ... moredriving of low impedance loudspeakers. This is the HOTTEST receiver I have ever owned. But it is time for it to go to a new owner. Serious offers will be entertained. Measures 18.9" W x 10.7" H x 16.6" D. Copies of original Operating and Service manuals plus web downloads included. Shipping weight about 75 lbs. Pickup is best option. Don't know much about this receiver except what I've read in the other auctions. It was in the attic and powers up when plugged in. What you see is what you get. Another auction had the shipping at $62.00 I will charge whatever it costs with no handling fee. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is a short wave receiver? HAMMARLUND SP-600 JX-14 Military Tube Radio Receiver 1959
Vintage Hammarlund SP-600 JX-14 US Army all tube radio receiver in good cosmetic condition. I am not familiar with this type of equipment so I am selling for parts or repair. I did plug it in and it powered up fine. The knobs seemed to work fine except for the band change knob which only moved about a half turn(maybe that's how it is supposed to work. I don't know) I plugged in some headphones and it makes a nice hum but that's all. I do not have an antenna. Very heavy(about 65-70 lbs) Dated 1959 on side.
