Truly beautiful set of 12 dinner plates(chargers) up for auction. They have hand painted floral designs(3 different patterns) And gold gilt on each plate. The chargers measure 9 inches. These plates have never been used, and not even displayed. They have been stored for many years. They are in MINT condition, and words/pictures do not do them justice. The back of each plate is marked only with a blue crown over a B. And it might be from Prussia Royal Rudolstadt, but I have never seen this exact mark before. This is a beautiful set. I found these plates at a local estate auction here in Oklahoma. They are so pretty. With the pink prim roses and the gold. They are in great condition except one plate has a chip on the underside rim. Another plate has the sign of a crack on the under rim, but I cannot feel it or see it on the top. They are all signed"M.Z. Austria" also with the number'66' in blue on the back. Six have been stamped with the number'1000' They are 5" across. Please look at all photos for accuracy. The were made by the Edwin Bodley company in Burslem England.This company made very fine quality porcelain ware during the above mentioned time period. Overall condition on both plates is very good with no chips or cracks to make note of. As you see there is very little wear to the decoration and no crazing to the glaze. Both plates measure about 9" across and bear stamped as well as impressed marks. The pattern number appears to be 7/6014. Great Set of 8 Antique Limoges Porcelain Plates William Guerin Floral & Gold
This auction is for a Set of 8 Beautiful Antique Porcelain Plates made by William Guerin& Co. of Limoges. France. The plates all measure about 7 1/2 inches across and have a nicely scalloped edge. They are clearly a set but there are three different Floral center designs that are slightly different from one another(see photos 4. 5& 6) There are 4 plates of the one group of flowers; 3 plates of another group of flowers; and a single plate of the last group of flowers. All the plates have groupings of flowers on the rim border separated by bold gold lines and a gold edge. Each plate has two Guerin marks. One in green and the other in red. The backstamps date the plates to between 1891 and 1932. The set is in very good condition. Especially for its age. The images are bright and vivid and the porcelain is glossy white. Antique Japanese Hand-Painted w/ Gold Inlay Teapot Set, Creamer, Sugar, 4 Plates
Description: This marvelous old tea set belonged to my aunt. Who died shortly before WW2; and it has been in storage for over 70 years. My mother had told me that it dated from before the turn of the century, but I honestly have no idea of its actual age, nor do I know the style or pattern(In fact, I don't really know anything more about it at all) If anyone out there in eBayland has any information, please write and let me know. There are no chips of any kind, and no visible cracks; there seems to be a crack line in the top for the teapot, but it is in the white inner"neck" only(the part that fits down inside the teapot itself) and it only goes part way. I found one or two tiny"flea bites" in the finish, and what appears to be a small drop of white paint(it can probably be carefully removed, but I don't want to ... morerisk it with my eyesight) The inside of the two lidded pieces is still gleaming white, and they do not appear to have ever been used(the inside of the unlidded smallest piece has become dusty with age) The teapot is about 4.5" in diameter(not counting the spout and handle) and 6.5" tall; the sugar is about 4" in diameter(not counting the twin handles) and 5" tall; and the creamer is about 3.5" in both height and diameter(not counting the spout and handle) While the four 7.25" plates also have no chips or cracks of any kind, there are several small flaws in the finish(as shown in the lower left area in the photo) I believe they are due to improper storage rather than use, as we can find no signs of wear or"utensile scratch lines" in the finish. Noritake Maple Leaf Nippon set six 7.5" plates pale green gold beading 1890's
I have for auction this evening a stunning set of 6 twelve sided plates manufactured and decorated at the factories of the Morimura brothers of Noritake during the very early Nippon era. These exquisite plates feature the very finest delicate white porcelain bodies and are decorated with a 1.5" pale green border and intermittent white cartouches accented with gold slip work and beading. The gold work is done in a"criss cross" basket weave fashion as well as what appears to be a leaf and berry motif"please see pics" The border is gilded and beaded as well. It is quite rare to find these in this condition and in this quantity on one listing and am offering these at a low start as well. These would make a fantastic addition to any collection or great for individual resale in your shop. Item dimensions and dating: All ... moremeasurements are approximate. Each plate measures 7.5" in diameter and is slightly cupped. these date from the 1890's by the mark and Nouveau style. Late 20 th Century Bernardaud France Orange& Gold One Dinner and One Salad Plates This listing is for one Bernardaud dinner plate and one Bernardaud salad plate. Both are pre-owned. The dinner plate is 10 3/8” and the salad plate is 8 5/16” in diameters. The back of the dinner plate has a gold paper sticker says: Made exclusive for Lindsey( Design” and handwritten golden color numbers: 13.04.04” 24 A/2” There is no paper sticker on the back of the salad plate. But also has handwritten golden color numbers: 23.03.04– A24 A/2” The dinner plate and the salad plate(blanks) was made by Bernardaud of France(they have two factories in France) for a design studio. Painted and gold gilded and then sold to an upscale department store or an upscale jeweler. The porcelain plates have a gold gilt border. A wide orange border, beneath the orange border ... moreis a narrow fluted gold gilt border. The numbers on the back of the plates are pattern and manufacturing codes. The pattern is most probably 22k or 24k gold gilt. This is a late 20 th century pattern. There are a few minor scratches on the plates as shown in the photos. A Well Used Red Cloth Book entitled DICTIONNAIRE ILLUSTRÉ DES MONNAIES(Poids- Titre- Valeur. Systems Monétaires de Tous Les Pays by M. et A. MÉLIOT with 37 hand-drawn plates of World Coins with colors to match the metal content. This book with taped spine was printed in Paris in 1906 by Garnier Fréres. It is a"nouvelle édition" and contains LXXXVII/87 new pages before the dictionary section starts as"Dictionnaire Universal des Monnaies Courantes" It has 200 numbered pages with dictionary of many terms I have never seen and then the illustrations on 37 color plates with light green underprint. See the image that lists the countries covered in that section. Not all countries have coins illustrated. Physical size is 8-1/2" high and 5-1/2" wide and about 7/8" thick. It has a red cloth ... morecover with black title and author along with a centerpiece with 4 gold coin images; back has design in black. Spine is covered with white tape to cover deterioration; previous owner printed"MONNAIES" on the tape on the spine. Edges on top and bottom and corners are worn. Some pages are at angles due to loosening of the body of the book from the spine. Interior pages are in good condition with some light tanning from age; the 37 color plates are in excellent condition. Interior paper seems to be better condition than the binding. It is a fun book to look at and there is a lot of information much of it numerical therefore the French language is not such a barrier. Up for auction is a matching SET of 2 vintage CALIFORNIA license plates. These are in the blue and gold colors with the seven number/letter combination which were first used in the 1980's. These plates were last registered in 1989. These plates came off my personal car in 1989 when I moved to Idaho. Th at car is long gone! The plate number is 1BSS127 and the DMV tag num ber is CA 89 D5959650. The size of both is approximately 6 by 12 inches. These vintage pieces are in very good used condition. The colors are clean and bright. There is a little bit of sun exposure o xida tion on the front surfaces. The back surfaces are shiny and bright. The back plate with the tag is in excellent shape.
