This is surplus stock from a local university laboratory. Everything has been in storage for several years but all equipment was believed to be in good working order when put into storage. I have had some trouble finding information on this particular item. Especially since there is no model number on it. However, from the Leitz Wetzlar MM6 Instructions Manual this appears to be a Rotatable Polariser slide unit for Interference Contrast, it attached between the Xenon lamp source and the Leitz Nosepiece Vertical Illuminator. However. The one shown in the manual Says only IC on the side where this one says ICR? The glass(appears to be a prism) slides in to use or out as needed. There is an opening that holds a sliding filter. The filter that is included seems to be clear or maybe UV glass, i cannot detect any color or magnification changes no matter how I look through it. The larger sliding section with the prism like glass measures 42.6mm x 32.6mm. The smaller filter slide is 33.5mm x 3.9mm. In case this may also be useful to some, the main body of the unit is 50.65mm front to back not including the bayonet mount, and the tube is 59.9mm in diameter. Please view the photographs. In excellent condition and good working order. The microscope has a four-lens revolving nosepiece; all the lenses are signed with the inscription Otto Seibert Wetlzar. It also keeps all its original component parts. With a lovely classic design, the instrument has a bird-claw black iron foot and golden brass and chromed-metal mobile parts at the top. Screwed to the top of the enameled iron foot there is a small metal plate with the engraved inscription Otto Seibert Wetlzar. This company was founded in Berlin in 1867 by two brothers. The solid wooden case also contains two wooden stands, one of which stores four plastic sleeves for the lenses. The case is in good condition and preserves the original handle and lock. It is a very attractive instrument that comes in its original case. The microscope is in very good condition and works perfectly. Letting the user watch samples clearly. It mounts a four-lens revolving nosepiece; three lenses are original from the time and the fourth is more modern, probably from the 40s or 50s, made of silvery metal. The four lenses are wonderfully preserved and work like new. The microscope’s turret. Screws and gears are made of golden brass and keep the original protecting lacquer. Measuring 3 1/2" x 4" x 1 1/2" The microscope comes in two( 2) parts which assembles in seconds. There is a rotating mirror as the light source, which has some silver blemish but does still work fine. The base is black and measures 2" H and 1 1/4" D. The upper part of the microscope is brass, measuring 2" H and 1 1/4" D, and has a"spring loaded" stage where the microscopic slide is placed for viewing. For sale is an Ernst Leitz Wetzlar No 273715 antique microscope. 1929. Microscope is black enamel and brass standing 12 1/2" tall with an 8" X 5 1/4" base. Working order with lens intact. Normal patina to brass and wear and tear for age. Old tape on handle. Needs a good cleaning otherwise in fairly good condition.

VTG/Antique Zeiss Winkel monocular. Microscope in great condition. Originally owned by Dr. John R. Boe of Grants Pass, Ore. also, town mayor. Quite sure it is from the early 50's but may be older. Included are two ocular lenses. A 5X&10X. The 3 lenses attached to the scope are 100/1.30 oel 160/ 40/0.65 160/0.17& 10/0.25 160/ All lenses are Zeiss Winkel. Lenses and mirror are in excellent condition. No crack or scratches. All knob and movements are fluid and in great working order. There are obvious signs of normal use and minor wear. The main plate shows slightly more wear. There is a small chip on the lower edge of the back of the base which has been touched up. The chip measures about 1/4" by 1/4" See Photos. Lenses may need to be dusted/cleaned. It has its' original dovetailed wood box(maple? Also, in very good ... morecondition with only minor dings to the wood surface. No cracks, damage or stains. Lock and key are intact and in good working order. Pullout storage units and scope support braces are also in great condition. I believe the microscope tilts but unsure how to do it.
