They were manufactured by Leeds& Northrup and are notable because they were used as reference standards in L&N's own calibration facility. The set comprises a complete decade run from 1 ohm to 1 megohm. Seven standards total. Two values each were given in the L&N specification sheet for both current and amperage- possibly one value was for the resistor used dry. The other for an oil-immersed resistor?
