HP 5061A. Rare partnership between HP and the premier watchmaker Patek Philippe. This unit came out in the 60's and still locks on frequency(green light) in about 8min. Compare to other very pricey functional units on ebay.This is an extremely complex and sophisticated instrument. Microwaves stimulate cesium vapor. Which gives off photons at exactly 9,192,631,770 Hz. the transition between two hyperfine transition states of cesium 133. FTS 4060 Cesium Time& Frequency Standard For sale- an FTS 4060 Cesium Time and Frequency Standard. The unit is in good physical condition. And it powers up as you can see. But at NO time did the LOCK indicator light come on. Instead the yellow MONITOR indicator and the ALARM light were both on. I do not have a manual and I have no idea how to operate the thing. So I could easily be doing something wrong. But based on my observations I would have to assume that it will need repair or refurbishing to be functional. And NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. But it still isn’t a museum piece. I will not catalog each and every scratch. If that is important to you please buy a different one.
