Hammond XK3C XK-3c Upper Manual "B3" Organ + dust cover + BIN gets free shipping
I am selling my never-gigged Hammond XK-3c organ. Along with a separately purchased dust cover and Compact Flash memory card(very hard to find anymore) for loading and saving user presets. I have decided to size down. As I am unlikely to ever gig on keyboards again and thus will never buy the lower manual or foot pedals for the XK system so would rather have a smaller profile unit. The XK-3c is still the only way to expand into a full dual-manual system with pedals, so it is especially advantageous to people who focus mostly on organ(or gig a lot with organs) My XK-3c was bought new. Has the original semi-double-box, user manual, plus the memory card and dust cover. Surprisingly, these have all gone up in price since I bought mine. The XK-3c now goes for $2900 new; the dust cover was about $30; it's either Gator or Road Runner(I forget ... morewhich) and the SanDisc memory card was almost $70 due to supply/demand(Compact Flash is hard to find anymore) Due to shipping issues. I had to separate the expression pedal and gig bag from the main auction as they require separate boxes. This organ is in near mint condition with only one very minor and tiny ding along the false wood panel on the left edge. Which was there when I received it but didn't want the hassle of sending back for something so minor(it's smaller than it looks in the photo) Everything functions 100% and the remaining surface area is as brand new. I replaced the presets with my own carefully crafted settings. Some of which are unique and others of which I ported from the canceled Native Instruments B4 II, including settings for both manuals and the foot pedal drawbars. The original presets suck and are almost entirely useless, but are backed up on the memory card for those who want to try them or actually like them(the memory card also has a copy of my own custom presets just to be safe) As memory card readers are hard to come by. Student to intermediate grade horn, probably THE most desirable and sought after of student horns! Features gold laquered finish. I estimate about 5% finish loss, mostly in the usual wear areas, with scratches, nicks, and dings overall. Ding at 1st bell brace, hardly noticeable. Water keys are fine. Pearlies are really nice. The bell presents vey well as shown in the photo. Overall, the whole horn is decent and very playable. Someone is gonna enjoy ths horn for less than the cost of a few months rent! The case. Bach/Selmer branded, is in good used condition and has ample storage space. One of the metal feet is missing. Some of the velour has come loose from the shell and might ... moreneed a little glue which I will fix if I can get to it. Latches and hinges in good shape, overall nice case. Comes with a Bach 3C mouthpiece in good condition with some scratches and finish loss. Mostly from insertion, as indicated. It didn't have an MP so I grabbed one of mine to give you. But kept immaculate mechanical care of her! All slides are good, friction ratio is excellent on all of them. Top and bottom caps all work good, no thread issues. Horn is built like a tank, with excellent attention to fit and finish, typical of good, old-fashioned American craftsmanship. Valves are really smooth, quiet, and lightning fast. Compression is excellent. Plays very well. Should be a good horn for any level of expertise.
