Strap lugs with minor wear, brassings on advance lever that is repainted as well, focusing knob and just one small on bottom lever. Wear on shutter plates and lens mounts. Camera was repainted but can be good used. With case but without cap. I overhauled it completely therefore shutter works properly. Shutter speeds look appropriate. Glass on lenses is clean, no fungus. Few tiny light cleaning scratches are visible from rear end only. They will not affect pictures for sure. Quite good glas for this type. Focusing and stopping is smooth. Focusing screen OK. WLF is usable. I believe camera can still take nice pictures. Untested with film, but appears to be in good mechanical working order. The shutter fires at all speeds, the aperture settings work, and the focus and film advance levers function. It has the internal film spool, with matching serial number. The optics have some dust, so would probably benefit from a clean. Cosmetically, there is some overall dust present, and some loss of the black paint to metal fittings, with some rusting to the exposed metal. It comes with a British made leather case, which has some wear and tear.

It is a pity to see these beautiful binoculars go to waste as they are superb so I am selling them on to someone that will appreciate them and use them for nature observation etc. In low light these are excellent with the wide 50mm and 7 x magnification so handling in low light and less wobble is what you get with these. Carl Zeiss Jena made in East Germany during the cold war period. The original Carl Zeiss Factory is the one in East Germany in Jena and was taken over by the Soviets after WW2 and from the day they took over their lens technology could compete with anything else in the world at that time. West German Zeiss had to start from nothing. These Zeiss glasses were top of the line when I purchased them new. Despite years of careful use they are still tight with perfect lenses. Barrel alignment is excellent and the Ocular cover makes them a breeze to use in rain. Snow or vegetation. This glass new today would be in the $1,200.00 range. They are solid and built to survive. the rubber armor just doesn't show wear. I have had to switch to a much lighter glass because of joint issues. If I could. I'd still be using these for hunting and birding. The case is in excellent condition, zipper fully functional, and you can get the binocs into the case with the strap wrapped around. This and the many other camera lots. And lenses we are listing? come from a local camera store in Buffalo, NY. The owner has retired after 50 years of running the store and now days the big guys are just too much competition along with the internet. Most of the items we are selling for him are new(many were on display there and most have boxes- not all) and there is some used stuff that he had there that is being sold as well. This is a Zeiss Ikon Contax I. Body only, made in Germany from 1932 to1936, Y 63260. I do not know if this is a Ie or a If. It has 4 screws in the accessory shoe, but the marker for shutter speed settings is still a slotted screw head. This camera is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age and shows only minor use and wear. There is paint wear as shown in the images. The shutter speeds are working, but I make no guarantee as to accuracy. The rangefinder is clean, clear, smooth and accurate. The wind feels smooth, and the counter is working.
