Vintage 1958 Zeiss Ikon" IKONETTE" in it's original factory presentation box with instruction sheet as shown above. The Ikonette is one of the most unique cameras ever developed by Zeiss Ikon. It's made entirely of grey high impact plastic. The body is curved into a kidney shape and a single lever on the front winds the film. Advances the counter, and cocks the shutter on a long stroke. The same lever then releases the shutter on a short stroke. A red flag appears in the viewfinder when the shutter is cocked. This Ikonette is in perfect operating condition and the body appears almost new. The factory box has some marks and slight rips from being in and out of storage over the years. Each of the lenses is well-protected in its original molded plastic housing. The body includes the original leather case. This model. Made between 1959 and 1962, features an interchangeable front element, and a coupled selenium exposure meter. It is cosmetically in good condition, with the components protected while in storage by the cases. Not having seen use in many years. The camera appears to be working properly, with the meter needle moving up ... moreand back as the light conditions change, and when the adjustment wheel is moved. The lenses are clean.
