Bandit 95 XP Commercial/Industrial Tow Behind Wood Chipper 243 hours!
I have a nice Bandit 95XP that I purchased new in 2003. It is a disc type chipper that chips wood. Palm and vines very well. This chipper only has 243 hours on it. It has the Ford industrial 4cyl. gas engine w/70 horsepower. I have all the manuals and paperwork that came with the chipper. It will chip all day on 5-7 gallons of regular gas. It is a very safe machine to run since it feeds itself, just stick the waste in and it pulls it through for you. I just put 2 brand new Kelley tires on it. A brand new battery and a new tongue jack. It is ready to go to work, starts right up, blades are sharp and lights work. It has electric brakes but when I bought it my new truck wasn't wired yet so I took the truck and chipper to a little shop down the street from the dealer to have the wired and they wired it to be a 4 flat which doesn't control ... morethe brakes. I never re-wired it to be a 7 round. Brakes have been disconnected and may need servicing or replacement once hooked up again. If you choose buy it now I will have the plug Wired to the type of connection your truck has and have the brakes serviced or replaced. I do not know if the chipper requires a CARB certification for California or not. It does not have the certification if needed and is being sold without it so please check the requirements for your state before bidding. I am a landscaper and hoped to add tree services to my list of services but never really got jobs large enough to use the chipper on. I hate to see it sit in the weather and fade any longer so it is time for it to go. Please email me with any questions you may have. Hi. This chipper has been sitting without running for at least 5 years. 5 years ago, I acquired it through a friend. It was leaking gas from the carb while running. I replaced the carb, and still had the same results. It's a side-draft carburetor, and I can't figure out how to prevent this situation. Anyway, I'm selling this for parts or scrap. If you decide to rebuild it, I wish you luck. If I had a place to work on it, combined with some time, I probably would, considering the cost of a running chipper. Anyway, even for scrap, I'm guessing this machine is at least 1600 pounds. It's got a Continental industrial motor in it, and parts seem to be available, but are not cheap. Chipper is sold AS IS. I am selling my 2000 Mitts& Merrill 16" wood chipper. This has a 16 drum and can handle 8 inch logs. It is powered by a John Deere 4 cyl diesel engine. The unit runs great. Starts very easy, and doesn't have any problems. The Rockford PTO unit also works great and very easy to engage and disengage. It appears to either have had a new power unit installed or it has low hours on the unit. When we purchased it there were 2 gauges that had been totally destroyed previous to our purchase, we have since replaced them with new gauges. The tach/hour meter is new and shows only 1 hour, and the amp meter was replaced with a used gauge from another piece of equipment. I say this to let you know that we have no idea on the actual hours on this chipper. I came from a Rural Electric Coop and was purchased new in 2000.
