Tractor Driven Wood Chipper / Three Point Hitch / PTO Drive
This wood chipper being auctioned is a Wood Maxx. With adjustable hydraulic feed. It fits a standard three point hitch tractor, and is driven from its PTO. I just purchased this chipper last year, and it has less than five hours of run time on it. Since I bought this chipper I also purchased a new tractor, which I later discovered, WILL NOT handle this size chipper. My new tractor has the horse power to run it(20 HP) but the hydraulic three point hitch will not pick it up(990 lb. 2000 M & M Wood Chipper John Deere 4 cyl Diesel 16 inch drum
I am selling my 2000 Mitts& Merrill 16" wood chipper. This has a 16 drum and can handle 8 inch logs. It is powered by a John Deere 4 cyl diesel engine. The unit runs great. Starts very easy, and doesn't have any problems. The Rockford PTO unit also works great and very easy to engage and disengage. It appears to either have had a new power unit installed or it has low hours on the unit. When we purchased it there were 2 gauges that had been totally destroyed previous to our purchase, we have since replaced them with new gauges. The tach/hour meter is new and shows only 1 hour, and the amp meter was replaced with a used gauge from another piece of equipment. I say this to let you know that we have no idea on the actual hours on this chipper. I came from a Rural Electric Coop and was purchased new in 2000. Early 90's hydraulic feed disk chipper. 6cyl Ford industrial gas engine. Starts right up and runs smooth and strong with good oil pressure and no leaks, I have owned the machine for about 4 yrs and have only used it for clearing my personal property. Carburetor was recently been rebuilt as well as replaced the fuel tank. Main drive belts have been replaced with an extra set included. Knives are sharp and an extra set is also included. The hour meter is in the 800s but I have no idea if it's accurate but this was originally a government owned machine so it was not used daily like a tree service would have so the hrs do sound reasonable. It will need a battery to start on it's own as I rarely use it and just jump it when needed. The tires should probably also be replaced just because of their age. Vermeer 1250 chipper with perkins 4 cylinder diesel engine. I believe it is an 80 hp engine. Everything works great on the machine and it was just serviced about a month ago with fresh filters and fluids. it needs nothing and you can put it to work tomorrow. none of the cylinders leak. there are 2.705 hours on the working hour meter. Blades are sharp and the autofeed works perfectly. this chipper is a monster and will eat anything you can throw at it. blows chips almost 30' This chipper has a hydraulic swing cylinder to allow you to swivel the feed shoot to allow better loading when you're working on the side of the road. In use you pull up next to the jersey wall on the side of the road and engage the swivel on the chipper which turns the feed shoot approximately ninety degrees to the tow vehicle. In this way you can feed branches ... morewithout having to first stage them on the road. it's an awesome feature and very unique. I made a short video showing the swing cylinder in operation and you can also hear the engine running, it runs very quietly and starts up quickly too. In the video I am bracing the tongue of the chipper with a skid loader so please excuse the bad picture quality. it is much smoother when the chipper is attached to the truck. The ti res are in good condition along with electric brakes which work well but the wiring is broken right now. it uses a pintle hitch to tow. Gas Powered Towable Wood Chipper Disc Style
Selling a nice Vandermolen 30Q185 disc chipper. It was recently serviced with fresh oil. New oil filter, new fuel filter, new plugs, new air filter, pre-filter, new fuel lines, new battery last year. 2 cylinder Vanguard engine starts right up and runs like a top! Electric start as well as pull start for backup. Recently installed 4 brand new razor sharp knives as well as new knife bolts and nuts. Large hopper will allow you to chip logs as well as shred any vegetation. These chippers are $10,000. new. Never used as a rental. Was farmer owned until I purchased it a few years ago. Farmers Almanac says this winter is supposed to top last year's. If so this will make your money back in the first ice storm from downed limbs. This chipper uses 4 knives on the chipper disc. The disc rotor is 30" in diameter and weighs approx. 125 lbs! It ... morehas a torsion axle and tows extremely well. The lights are not hooked up. Blower chute really throws the chips far. Adjustable chute deflector and the chute also rotates 360 degrees so you can pile chips, fan chips to disperse or throw chips in the back of a truck bed while still being hitched. Brand new wheels and tires have less than 50 miles on them! This is not some kiddie chipper! Come and inspect prior to bidding/buying. Come chip a cord of wood if you like prior to bidding. Once the hammer goes down you own it. If you swing the chute out 180 degrees it is very balanced and one person can move it around on flat ground. If you want to come demo the unit bring safety glasses and ear protection. This machine is loud. The engine isn't very loud but the knives cutting through the air make a lot of noise. At the max RPM you can still talk over the motor. I want to let all entrusted parties know the following 1. The tail lights work but the break and directional lights do not work. 2. The RPM gauge and hour meter stopped working the hour meter reads 2570 but the chipper has closer to 2700 hour on it. Up for sale is my personal machine. A Woodsman 12x wood chipper. Powered by a John Deere 4.5 Liter turbo diesel making 140hp. Hour Meter shows 654 Hours but was changed when original meter read 1800 hours. So chipper has about 2400 hours on it now. Runs perfect and does not use any oil. I purchased this machine when it had only 74 hours on it. Since then it has only been used by me. The Woodsman chipper is superior to any other machine in its class. By far. Considered a 12' chipper, it actually shames all other 12 inch chippers. This is because of its design and simplicity. Reversing auto feed system stops feeding branch and backs it up a couple inches to let engine recover rpms before continuing to feed. I have a video on youtube of us feeding a huge Elm branch into the chipper. Search for"Woodsman 12x Extreme" by racnruss. ... moreThroat opening is 13"x25" Most 12" chippers have a throat that is 12x12" or 12x17" Check out the photos. It will actually take 2 12" logs at the same time! This translates into much less cutting of crotches to get limbs to fit through the chipper. It will take a much wider crotch without cutting. Plus, the feed roller has Lift and Crush hydraulics to compact brush and pack it through to the knives. The feed roller has not one but TWO hydraulic motors powering it. One on each side-direct drive motors. No linkage to wear out or need adjusted or greased. No bottom feed roller! It doesn't need it with the huge top roller with two motors. That means less moving parts and no bottom roller to get jammed all the time and dribble stuff out onto the ground that you have to shovel up at every job! I owned a Bandit chipper before and absolutely hated that. This machine has a winch to pull heavy branches up to the chipper. I consider it to be priceless. But. Only 1259 hours on the original working hour meter. Engine runs excellent. Drum bearings are quiet. newer blade change produces a fine chip the 16" wide opening takes hard to chip material easy. No smoke, no noises. Tires are good. Lights don't work. Generator or voltage regulator is bad so it will need a replacement part. I always use a 1 wire alternator they are under 100 bucks and work great. This is the largest Asplundh Drum chipper produced. Great for clearing where a couple guys are feeding it. Vermeer Chipper 1400XL mulcher woodchipper wood chipper
This is a Vermeer 1400XL Chipper. 122 HP. Cat Turbo diesel. I believe it is a 2005 model. The fiberglass hood is gone. It wasn't latched down properly and got caught in the wind going down the road a couple of days ago. I used this chipper daily until buying a newer larger chipper. I bought it about 6 years ago from the original owner and I have put 2000 trouble free hours on it. We did put a new drive belt. Clutch, and throwout bearing in it about 500 hours ago. It was hard starting earlier in the year so my mechanic put an inline fuel pump in it. It starts fine now. Kind of idles strange until it gets warmed up. Acts like maybe a fuel line is sucking air. Runs good at working RPM and chips extremely well. It has autofeed that works fine. Has been a good chipper just don't need it anymore with my bigger chipper. A new factory hood ... moreis around $1000.00. I am sure you could make something cheaper if you wanted or just purchase a new one somewhere. Needs something before it is ran much though. 3300 hours total and other than the missing hood, I would say the condition is average for the amount of hours. I realize this chipper needs a little TLC, but it has no major mechanical issues. This auction has no reserve or buy it now price. Highest bidder wins.
