It is one of several'personality modules' that were available for the 7D02 logic analyzer plug-in for the 7000 series oscilloscopes. Tektronix also made an interface(Model PM 100) that allowed using modules in this series with the DAS-9100 series logic analyzers. The personality module for the 8085 allows for display of the processor mnemonics. Demultiplexing of buses, synthesizing signals for tracking processor states and transferring data to acquisition memory. When used with the DAS 9100 it greatly simplifies connections to the board under test. The PM 104 is intended for use in systems that employ the 8085 ... moreprocessor. The input probe consists of a special plug-in that fits the 8085 socket It has a protective cover to protect the pins. And in addition, a sliding system that is intended to straighten any errant pins. The probe is in perfect condition. The module body has a quick-release socket to accept the 8085 processor from the device under test. In addition, there is a covered socket available from the underside of the module housing along with a two-position jumper marked'normal- test' I am not entirely sure of its function. The module is connected to the logic analyzer(7D02) via a long flat ribbon cable. There is no documentation for this module. The Ball Efratom PTB-100 is a precision frequency standard/ time base which combines the performance of an atomic oscillator(Rubidium) with the convenience of operating in any of the Tektronix TM500/TM5000 series of power supply mainframes(except the TM501) The extremely pure and stable10MHz output is generated from a voltage controlled crystal oscillator(VCXO) whose frequency is referenced and locked to the ground state hyperfine transition of Rubidium(Rb87) In addition to being fully plug-in compatible with the Tektronix series TM500/5000 power modules. The PTB-100 is compatible with all Tektronix series 500/5000 plug-ins. The rear interface connector provides direct input to any Tektronix plug-ins within the power module mainframe which will accept rear interface time base inputs. The unit flashed 355 error code, which we believe means the NVRAM battery inside needs replacement.
