With that being said, the modules do appear to work as they read an input signal on each channel. The second picture is of a 100kHz 4V sawtooth wave connected to CH1 of the TLA7D2. This is a very easy to use spectrum analyzer. I don't think it has seen much use as all the controls feel like new and the display is very bright and crisp. Some of the attached pics show display as seen outdoors- always a good test of a CRT. In the last 3 pics(attached) I have shown the swept amplitude response(flat over the full range) Log detector test(using external precision step attenuator) and excellent phase noise of this unit(external 100MHz oscillator) The internal step attenuator has been carefully checked and is also working perfectly. It was introduced along with the 531 and 535 mainframes in 1954. In those scopes(Tek never documented its performance in the 540's) Its bandwidth is 8.5MHz, and like most letter-series plug-ins, its maximum vertical sensitivity is 50mV/div. Unlike the Type A and Type B, the Type C had the ability to invert the signal before display. Type 53C was replaced by Type 53/54C in 1956 when the 541 and 545 were introduced. The Type 53/54C's bandwidth is 24MHz in those scopes. In 1959 it was replaced by Type CA. At 15 tubes. The Type 53/54C and Type CA have the highest tube count of any letter-series plug-in. Tektronix Oscilloscope 20 MHz Model 2205. This is a nice analog scope which seems to be in good working order. It powered up fine and the rudimentary test seemed to indicate that everything was in working order. I haven't use this model but I understand that they are reliable and rarely break down. The scope is missing the plastic cover(which often gets removed on the bench never to be seen again) There are no probes or a manual included but they are widely available on the net.
