South Bend Lathe Works Collet Holder C30-10C NR
The item for sale is a collet holder made by the South Bend Lathe Works. The numbers are hard to read on the unit but I believe it says C30-100C NR. This is the only one of this type I have ever seen. Age? unknown. Came with some used lathes I purchased. S B L W is stamped on the face of the unit. The only collet I have is 5/16 diameter and is solid brass. Very cool little device. As is no returns. Shipping is $10.00 anywhere in the continental US. Canada will be an additional charge. Lathe- South Bend 9 X 36, with tooling
Good old South Bend lathe. Do not know exact age, but probably from early fifties. Picture shows some 3/8-16 threads I cut, as I needed a longer bolt and was too cheap to go buy one. It had.002 taper. Runs on 120 volt. Comes with 3 jaw chuck, 9in face plate, center rest some tool bits and 3 holders and boring bar holder with carbide tipped boring bar, live center which is in picture, drill chuck and wrench for tail stock that are not in picture also go. Extra belt in picture I bought in case original belt failed, but have never put it on. Also a C-D that has part list. Good points-everything works, bad points- in high feed ranch the banjo gears are noisy and noisy in low range but less. It came with a new 3/4 HP motor installed, it works good but will not start on its own unless you help by spinning the chuck, electrician says it needs a ... morelarger capacitor. As little as I use it has not been an issue, in low belt range it starts right up. Local pick-up preferred, but shipping can be arranged as long as buyer pays for it. Lathe can be moved in pieces, takes about 30 minutes to take it apart and easy to put back together. After buyer pays for it, there is no hurry about picking it up, I can cover it up and keep it inside.

These came with a lot of other lathe tooling I bought a while back for my Logan and looking to clean up around the shop as these don't fit mine. Larger one measures close to 11" and the smaller one around 6 3/4" I believe these are Sheldon but not positive. May fit others. The smaller one has a chip out of it as shown in the 6th picture. I tried to photo the casting# for the guys that know these casting#s. I tried uploading 3 more pictures but they will not upload at this time. Front of faceplates have some surface rust but will clean up with a wire wheel. The internal threads on both are nice shape. Very nice OEM South Bend 10-in-one tool holder or tool post. Will hold a cut off blade. A straight turning tool, a boring tool, and it has a built in knurl. The knurls are in good shape. And it has all of its hardware(although one set screw is non original) If you open it up you can still see the color case hardening. But most of that is gone from the outside. O.K. so no bulls^& here. This is rusty and has some pitting. You should be able to put it on a mandrel between centers and clean it up. But I can't promise all the pitting will come out before you loose the lines and numbers. It is the direct reading dial though and it should fit both the cross feed and compound if you have the proper extended bushing(I made one for my machine) You pays a little money. This 9" 10K South Bend Lathe milling attachment is complete with the original custom fitted finger-jointed wood box. A pair of vee grooved jaws, handle, wrench and mounting bolts. It appears to be very lightly experienced and to have been used only a few times. It is in very great condition. The movements are free and easy in all directions.There are two small nicks on one of the vee plates but no other kind of damage. The wood box does have some dents and scratches. Due to its age, and is missing part of the latch, but it is in very good overall condition. All of the unit's measurement markings are clear and un blemished. It is rare to find a unit like this that is complete and in such great condition. Possible identifying marks: there is a“9”or“6” on the base of the mounting plate– depending on how the unit is held; there is a ... morevery lightly imprinted“JB” on the face of the unit which is painted over; a small“MA 000X” imprinted on the wall of the vice; an almost unreadable“830 NHJ”on the crank handle; and“Williams Special 723 A” on the wrench. Nice 4' Bed for 9" and Light 10" (10K) South Bend Lathe - Good Condition
This is the bed from a 4' long 9" south bend lathe. Also fits the light 10" 10K) This bed is in good condition. On a scale of 1-10(10 being perfect) I would rate this at least a 7. The frosting is worn off some parts but there is no ridge and I cannot measure any wear. I only cleaned the top of the bed. The inside and outside are dirty This still has original paint(worn) It has never been repainted. This should clean up into an very nice unit. Weighs 96 pounds. Will weigh about 115 pounds packaged for shipment, Payment via Paypal only unless alternate arrangements are made before bidding. No handling charge on orders shipped to US addresses. 6 Jaw Buck 6" Chuck Part No. 3662 For Logan Craftsman South Bend Metal Lathe
Made in the USA by Buck. Number on the face I believe is the part number is 3662. Pat. no. is 2639157. I disassembled it and ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner, it shows no corrosion inside and light patina on the outside. The ring gear is perfect with no chipped or broken teeth. I greased the gear with Lubriplate and heavily oiled everything else, works very smooth and will no doubt provide many years of service. The jaws are not independent and work as one unit. The backing plate is set up for a 2 1/4" 8 TPI threaded spindle and has AC-114 stamped on it's face. Ask questions and be sure because I don't want it back. I'll ship flat rate priority at 22.00 including insurance. Thanks for looking.

You are looking at a South Bend or Atlas 9" Lathe Roller Bearing Tail Stock Chuck. This will fit on a 1 1/8" OD Tail Stock. Has a broken split bushing. That would be a easy fix.
