Artist. May, typically painted barns and cabins, and only a few other structures, such as this old sawmill. Looks to be signed in pencil. The frame has a few dents and it looks to be a little dusty under the glass. There is a small brown spot right above the left end of the mill as shown in photo#2. I'm not an expert on prints but I would hang this in my home as it is. I picked this up at an estate sale in South Carolina. Nice old pickaroon out of a Pacific Northwest Estate. These were commonly used in the area here in the sawmills. The head is not marked- measures prox. 7 3/8" from edge to bill hook. Head is not all rusty. Does have pitting, retains its natural patina. Has a hardwood handle that does have some bumps and bruises as well as shows signs of weather. Fairly good sized chip out of the wood towards the head. Still sturdy. Measures prox. 27 5/8" total from head top to end of handle. Does need a shim put in handle top as head is somewhat loose. Neat old tool! Vintage Sawmill Musical Cuckoo Clock With Waterwheel For Parts Or Repair
Up for auction is a vintage musical cuckoo clock for parts or repair. This Clock is being sold As Is.As Found! The clocks back is marked 3- 69. So I guess it was made in March 1969. The clock has chains but need replaced. One of the arms on the clock movement that push the bellow top up is broken and needs repaired but is present. I fliped the Bello tops with my finger and they seem to work fine. The music box looks like it is all there but a couple teeth are missing off of the comb. The clock is missing it's weights and it's chains are in a bag not affixed to the Clocks movement. In the bag are a couple chain hooks, that clock movement arm and one Bellow wire. Vintage Amish 56-Inch Sawmill Blade
This is a rare. Great, 56-inch diameter blade from an Amish sawmill in Eastern Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. Circle saw blades, especially of this great diameter, are becoming exceedingly rare as sawmills are being converted to band saws. This blade is no longer suitable for mill work unless straightened and tempered. The expertise for which is becoming exceedingly difficult to find. The blade has an overall slight bowing of perhaps a quarter inch, which is not readily apparent unless one sights across the blade. This blade has sat idle inside a barn for decades. Because one side was up against a stone wall the coloration is different on the two sides. Note that the wavy lines across the side of the blade that sat next to the stone wall are only surface marks, no doubt from water condensate running down the blade. These marks appear in the ... morephotos as if they were deep rust, but they are not. Only surface discolorations. Carbide teeth and keepers are not included. This giant blade is p erfect for display or for painting. Please look carefully at the photos and ask any questions you may have before bidding. This blade is being sold"as is" with no returns accepted. Because of its size and weight(120 lb. This blade is for local pick up only. I have no means to build a crate and ship. This is a top-of-the-line Craftsman sawmill circular saw looks like it is almost brand. This is a 7 1\4 inch 11 amp 500 rpm saw perfect for any professional or do it yourselfers. That's all is in like new condition only being used twice and having approximately 4 to 5 hours of usage on it. Even the blade is in great condition and you will not have to replace for a long time as it is still sharp with no damage whatsoever. Excellent condition real photo postcard showing the Pondosa Pine Lumber Company plant in 1947 at Elgin. Oregon. According to a 1948 Government report on the lumber industry, the following was noted about this company: This company is a subsidiary of the Ralph Smith Lumber Company of Kansas City. The remanufacturing operations of this plant are highly refined and comprise a substantial part of the industrial payroll of the Elgin community. The operation started in 1925 as a planer mill doing custom work for local mills. In 1928 additional equipment was added and the company produced molding. Boxes, and lumber. The entire plant burned in 1930 and was rebuilt in 1931 during the depth of the Depression. The operation grew progressively until 1938 when over 100 people were employed yearlong in the remanufacturing of approximately one million feet ... moreof lumber monthly. The card is postally used dated 1947 with a message on the back that says. In part, This is a picture of the plant where Dallas works. No. 210847 and also stamped FS(Forest Service) CCC(Civilian Conservation Corps) on one side of the head, TRUE TEMPER on the other side and a Circle 7 on the shoulder. It weighs approximately 4 pounds 1 ounce and measures approximately 7 ¾” from bit to poll and 4 ¾” from toe to heel on the bit. It has dings. Scratches, rust in the eye, pitting and someone used the poll as a hammer and peened the edges over but there are no cracks and I filed the edges down the best I could; the cutting edge is sharp. BELSAW Model M-14 High-Speed Sawmill
This M-14 High Speed Belsaw has been dismantled and unused for probably 20 years. It was fully functional prior to being dismantled. It has a 40" blade which appears to be in good condition. It was driven from a tractor PTO and worked well. All the parts appear to be there with the exception of the carriage cables. Which were discarded when the saw was dismantled. Some of the bearings and all of the wood components will need to be replaced. The dogging spikes and other adjustable components are rusted but should free up with some lubrication and TLC. Original factory owner's manual, including details on assembly/operation and a parts' list, is included. Other saw mill components are available, if interested, for an additional cost.
