I bought the Ridgid 36163 and found the culprit in 15 minutes, a loose 5 inch PVC cleanout cap that would build up gas under pressure and belch a wonderful odor occasionally. This machine is very simple to operate. And rugged. It detects over a dozen noxious combustible gases including Methane. Propane, Butane, Ethanol, Ammonia, Hydrogen. It has a nice beefy bendable gooseneck to get into tight places. Comes with an instructional DVD too, but I was able to operate it within 5 minutes after reading quick start. Ridgid model 22(40085) yoke type pipe vise in"GREAT" used condition. The operating range of this vice is from 1/8" 2 1/2" pipe. The only thing wrong with this item is the paint(and some minor surface rust) It shows no noticeable wear and is in as found(auction purchase) condition except for the serrated jaw faces. I did remove them. Ran them through the blast cabinet and clear coat them just to eliminate the surface rust so you could see them better. There are no significant chips or any other sign of heavy usage I can see. This tool will perform nearly as well, if not as well as a new one for a lot less money. This tool weighs slightly under 13 pounds. I have set the rate calculator up for U.S.P.S.
