This came in from a test facility that had some older equipment that they didn't need anymore. This looks like it was in storage and not used for awhile. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace pretty much centered in the lower part of the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to punch a bunch of buttons to get the panel to light up and show that it does seem to work somewhat. Came up with two different traces, with two lines in each trace. Picture three has a dual trace in the center(center two lines) with a bigger dual trace(upper and lower lines) enclosing the inner dual trace.There is not much else I can do to test this since I have no probes. Machine looks great and looks like it would run just fine. B ut since I can't test. Will be selling as a parts/repair unit and sold AS IS. Showed some things I can do, and looks to work somewhat. Serial# B051119 Less than 1000 hours and under 350 power cycles All 4 channels are functional All voltage test points measure correctly A5 board has replaced electrolytic capacitors Slight damage to one of the air vents at the back. Visible in the pictures Missing one knob. Visible in the pictures When I received this scope it displayed the common Option-05 Error. I traced this to the leaking electrolytic capacitors on the A5 board. This is a very simple and very common problem with ... morethese scopes. I replaced the caps. Cleaned the board, and chose to also replace some of the SMD resistors and ceramic caps nearby that showed damage from the leaking caps. You can see the work in the very first close-up of the circuit board. Note that the cap at the other end of the A5 board was also replaced(not pictured) All of the power supply voltages measure correctly at the test point on the main board(I may update the listing with +/ percentages but I can't find my notes) I've put a lot of care into bringing this scope into operation. According to the Exerciser 05 test. It has less than 1000 hours of operation and under 350 power cycles(I've added a couple to the 320 number shown) but this number can be changed by the user so it may not be accurate. I have not changed it. However, I can tell you that the interior is spotless and all of the screws made that satisfying popping noise when I loosened them for the first time, indicating to me that this machine has never been opened. I cannot guarantee that I've fixed everything but it appears to be fully operational. I have not had it calibrated but it's spot on with the onboard reference signal(see pics)

Description This is a tested and fully working Tektronix TDS744A 4 channel digital oscilloscope with color display(serial number B010455) It has a bandwidth of 500MHz. And 2GS/s sampling rate. It has options 1F(floppy drive) 13(RS-232 and Centronix) 2F(advanced DSP math including FFT) and 1M(500,000 point record length) Condition It has been tested and is guaranteed to be in working condition. It passes all self tests and SPC reliably. The screen has some mild burn in that's not visible under normal use. The LCD color shutter is in perfect condition. It is in excellent physical condition. Apart from a few superficial scratches and dents in the cabinet. It's clean inside and out. It is missing two of the plastic feet and the wire stand. Note that at some point the front control panel was replaced with one that lacks the"InstaVu" ... morebutton. InstaVu is available in the"Display" menu. Calibration is not guaranteed.
