I know little about the subject so I do not know if this is complete or not so please study the many photos carefully before bidding. The microscope stands 16 inches in height in the position seen in the gallery photograph. The iron stand is a very dark green which is speckled with gold. The piece in the tobacco tin is made from glass. There is a tiny bone in the small round container. The leather carrying handle on top of the case is missing and the case itself could do with a polish. The lock is missing as well. VERY LARGE Antique Magnifying Glass / Bullseye Microscope Lens
Here we have a Very Interesting Early Antique Magnifying Glass OR Microscope Bulls Eye Lens? I am not too sure? but would be ideal for Microscopy. Its Stem and Base is of Brass. the stem has two separate adjustment screws. not sure what the two little brass clasps at the base are for? The Lens itself is in magnificent condition with no chips or cracks and measures a huge 5 ins in diameter(is a Flat Lens and very strong) its Brass Base measures 4 1/4 ins in diameter and all together weighs 2 1/4 kilos unpacked. Yet another of my early Curiosities for the Scientically Minded bidders out there amongst you!
