VINTAGE WIEDENHOFF METAL LATHE
For auction I have a very rare vintage Wiedenhoff metal lathe. I acquired this lathe about thirty years ago. I never had the attachment that you see in the picture but the rest of the unit is in excellent condition considering it was built in the 1940's. I used the photo only to show the attachment and I will post actual photos later today. This unit has been bead blasted and I painted it with a gray hammered look paint finish to give it a very nice metal look. The chuck and the spindle are in tact and operational. The belt pulleys are all very good and in tact. I replaced the oil cups as the originals were damaged and or missing. This is one of the nicest I have seen and isn't broken. Monarch K-16 Geared Head Engine Metal lathe 3&4 Jaw 1971 Flame Hardened Ways
Used 1971 Monarch Model K-16 16" X 54" geared head metal lathe with D1-6 camlock spindle. Includes spindle guard. Light, chip pan, thread dial, micrometer stop, lantern toolpost with holders, dead center, wrenches, a 10" 3 jaw chuck with rev. jaws, and a 12" 4 jaw chuck. This lathe has spindle speeds 28-1200rpm and has a clutch making it easier to start with a phase converter. Threading is 1 12/ to 95 tpi. It has a little less than 1/4 turn backlash in the crossfeed and a little less than 1/4 turn in the compound. I believe it is powered by a 7.5hp 3 phase motor and is currently wired for 220volt with f-r starter. The ways have some wear but are good for the age of the machine, they are also flame hardened. antique SA Potter Metal bench lathe and accessories
Up for auction is a very old S A Potter Metal lathe. It is in very good condition considering it is around 100 years old. There are to small nicks in the bed that are behind the chuck. And some light scratches but not bad at all. the bearings are snug and turns true, has a self centering 3 jaw chuck instaled doing away with the collets, although everthing is there to go back to collets, but I dont have any collets for it. The lathe( bed. Head stock, tail stock, tool holder, pulley system, and motor) were striped down to the metal and repainted gloss black, and burgundy( it had been painted several times over the years, but i tried to match it to what apeared to be the original color) The lathe also includes a pulley system( from what i can find on the internet. Apears to be original to the lathe) belts, spare headstock, spare tailstock, spare ... moretool holder, spare collet holder, vintage general electric motor that runs good. and drill chuck. The overall length of the bed is 32" About 3.5" from top of bed to center of chuck,and bed measures about 14" between front of chuck tail stock. I do not think you will find another one like this. Especially in this condition with all the accesories. I restored this lathe about 2 years ago, but have not used it since its restoration( almost feel its to nice to use) If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
