Vintage Mannequin Head - Old Store Display Piece (Pretty Face)
This is a vintage mannequin head that I bought about 15 years ago in an antique mall. And used for years to store my hats. I was told that the mannequin was from the 1940s-1950s, but it is not dated and I cannot verify. It is approximately 16 ½- 16 ¾” tall. The head itself is about 7 ¼- ½” tall from the chin to the top of the head; it is about 6 ¼” wide. The base is 8 3/8” wide; as you can see from the photos. The bottom is a piece of wood that may have been inserted but I am not sure. I do not know what the mannequin is made of. But it may be wood because of the bottom and because, on the back, where the worst worn spots are, it looks like wood. But I am not sure. Someone told me these old heads were made of some composite material like fiberglass that is poured into molds. I really do not know and cannot tell from ... morethe look/feel of it. It is in really good vintage condition exception for some chips. Flakes, and scratches, the worst of which are the ones mentioned above on the back of the head. There are also some drips of a light greenish color on one side of the neck; these did not come off with a wipe. But they may with a real cleaning. None of these affect the attractiveness of the mannequin. There are false eyelashes on the eyes. And the eyes appear to be hand painted. There are 3 dots on the top of the head. Above the forehead– these are not chips, but rather look like someone put dots on to mark a spot on the head. On the back of the head. It appears as if“S210” is imprinted into the head. This would be lovely in a shop to display hats or scarves. Or it could be used to do the same in a closet or on a dresser. As with all my auctions. Vintage Leg Mannequin - Bachelor Girl Seamless Sheer (Hosiery)
This is a really neat vintage store display piece- a leg(used for hosiery) marked on the back"Bachelor Girl Seamless Sheer. I do not know the age of this piece. But I would estimate it is from some time in the 1950s or 1960s. It is not made of the composite/plaster/fiberglass-like material of the older mannequins, but what feels like a rubber/plastic type of material(not really sure what it is) The leg is hollow, with the ball/toes area of the foot being weighted so that the leg stands/balances on its toes, with the heel up off the ground. It is approximately 13.5” tall from the top of the leg to the ground, with the heel about 2" off of the ground(from the top of the leg to the bottom of the heel is approx. 11.5" the foot is approximately 9" long. I used to collect vintage store display pieces. And I think I bought this ... morepiece about 15- 20 years ago. I have actually used this as a vase on my dresser(for silk flowers) It is in good vintage condition. But it does have a fair number of marks on all sides of it(they do not look or feel like flakes, but appear to be more like dirt or scuff marks- please see the photos) These do not take away from the overall appearance of the leg. It is very unusual. This would be lovely in a shop to display hosiery or socks. Or just as it is for a conversation piece(or use it as a vase, or a holder for paintbrushes, or for whatever other purpose you can think of) As with all my auctions. Vintage Ladies Mannequin by Royal. Full Body. 1970s. 5'10" Tall. Violet Eyes.
Folks. It's a complete 1970s ladies mannequin, from her toes to her head. It comes with a steel support stand. It was made by the Royal Mannequin Corporation out of Miami, which made high quality mannequins from 1959 to 1984. She is rather elegant looking, about 5'10" tall with violet eyes. It would look cool as part of your home decor or in a shop. It has some dings, cracks and wear. I have done some repairs, filling some cracks with caulk, but there are still various cracks. I have done some touch-up painting over my repairs. I had to repaint the hands, as some fool had painted them green at some point. The tip of her left thumb was broken off at some point, I replaced it with one made from baked modelling clay. The touch-up painting is not perfect, but it looks pretty good. The main issue was she experience severe head trauma. ... moreThe top of her skull was crack and an ear severed. The ear has been reattached and the skull top repaired. It dissembles into six pieces: legs, torso, two arms and two hands. It does come with the white gloves, shabby nightgown dress, and platinum blonde wig. Of the listed cost, about $40 or $50 of it is shipping, because of the large box I need to buy to fit her four feet long legs. I bought this on ebay years ago& I haven't found info on her yet but I believe she is from a store Christmas window display. See how her shoes are attached to metal rods. I think this must've been because she was attached or even moving on a stage. Her one hand is damaged but I can't look at her without thinking she must've had her hands in a fur muff. Her green velvet gown is near perfect& luxurious. Her hair is"real" she has a little pearl necklace- she is truly elegant. I read that Spaeth Design is responsible for creating many of these types of displays in NY. But they can't be sure this one is theirs. She's 22" high with the metal rod. Antique German Young Child Mannequin, Leather Pants, Lederhose & Felt Cap
This mannequin stands 36" tall and there is no head. Antique mannequins usually came headless and the stores would have girl and boy heads so they could trade them around when displaying their clothes. He comes with short leather pants called Lederhose in Germany. The pants are soiled but are in excellent condition for their age. He also has leather shoes and red stockings. The manneqin has a felt hat with two pins. The hat has some moth holes but is in good display condition. Art Deco style lady! This is a awesome old jewelry display piece. Not certain of age. It is made from a type of hard plastic material. Brown hair, brown eyes and pierced ears. Measures approx. 14 1/2" H x 5 1/4" W at shoulder area, depth is about 5 1/2" She is not in perfect condition, however I would say she is in very good condition for her age, could use cleaning, I will leave that to new owner, not knowing what I'm doing, I do not want to ruin her! The form is marked"Continental and Patent. Pend. on the bottom. The form itself is marked 21 1/2 on the neck. It measures 21 inches in circumference and is 12 inches tall from top of head to base. Extraordinary, Vintage Full-body Mannequin, Old, in Good Condition
This is a beautiful Decter(I think. But I am not sure) mannequin. I believe this is from a historic time in Decter's mannequins(around the 70's) The dress is not included. As I mentioned, some fingers in a hand are broken and the parts put together with tape(so that the new owner can repair it) In spite of its age and scratches here and there, it looks Amazing when dressed. It has a pretty unusual position and the arms can be positioned rotating from the shoulder. Yes, the hole in the head is nasty but normally covered with a wig. Please ask questions if needed. This is a vintage Peter Pan Bra Mannequin that was used in my aunt's dress shop. I do not know the year it was made. My aunt ran the shop from the early 1950"s until she closed it in 1986. It is in good condition There are a few scratches. But I do not see any cracks. The mannequin is sold as is. It measures about 9 1/2 inches high and is about 12 inches across at the bust. We believe this to be from the 1930's as on the back side of the base it has FH- 38. She has that era, Art Deco, style of hair do. She is made of a plaster type material and stands 13 1/2 inches tall. She does have a few wear issues, nothing really serious. Small chip on the nose, few other chips or surface losses, but still a wonderful find. The wear even makes her look more unique, and shabby and chic. Please email with any questions. I purchased her years ago with best intentions of restoring her beauty but. Never did. Now I have more projects than I will ever complete so. Her plaster is chipping and cracking and some areas of paint loss. To her hair and ears. The slight crack on her neck and missing plaster on the back(shoulders) makes her head. A little wobbly and unstable. I considered separating her head from her damaged torso and. Mounting it on a stand but I believe with a little work. The torso can ... morebe repaired. Vintage Lighted Formex Pygmalion Mannequin
This is a very rare Pygmalion light up mannequin from the 1950's. It was manufactured by Formex Manufacturing Inc.of Santa Monica. California. This mannequin was used in my aunt's dress store from the 1950's until she closed her business in 1986. There are a few light scratches on the surface. There are a couple of places that are either scratches or light surface cracks. The color is pretty uniform overall. I don't know what the color was when new, so there is possibly some color change from when it was new. It has the original power cord which still works. The cord and the light socket seem to be in good condition, but if you plan to leave it plugged in for any length of time you should closely examine the cord and socket and exercise caution.
